Wow, just saw they have tie-dye shirts at Svengoolie’s store…I know, he has a store?
Now I can look extra groovy in Sven gear.
For two weeks in a row, our screen just flickers. This is only for Svengoolie on OTA MeTV. The Stooges are fine. And then Batman is fine.
Happy 4th of July to all 10.5 thousand members of this group! If only there was a way to take the findings of a mad scientist, and use the powers of invisibility to benefit the people. Sven says in his description, this movie was intended to be a sci-fi thriller and morale booster at the time that it was made.
My dad was like 6 years old when this came out, I don’t think he saw it at the theatre at that age, this is the same year Casablanca came out. He loved movies, including the monsters and Bogart.
Your thoughts and connections to the movie, to the era, to Agents of Independence, your play for how you will spend the 4th are welcome here.
The great Christopher Hamby is back with his Svengoolie blog featuring The Invisible Agent!
Move over John Cena, there's a new guy who we can't see! Stupid joke aside, where do I even start?! This is my pre game for The Invisible Agent tomorrow and it was so good! Seeing Griffin just terrorizing everyone was so entertaining. My favorite was in the beginning when he beat up the country bumpkins in the Lion Heart. Also since his clothes are still visible, when he's out terrorizing everyone, that means he's out there naked. And in the snow?! Honestly, he's a king for that. He's confidence makes me think I can run out in the snow naked lol. One thing to note is that after Griffin killed Kemp I thought it would get boring afterwards, but no! When the police finally took him down I was honestly a little sad. But that's thing, this was really just a one man show, Kemp and Flora are cool too. But while Griffin is a bad person and only realizes he was in the wrong after he's close to dying. It was fun to his high, I love that dude! This was a great watch!

And now, an artwork of the Svengoolie “S” filled with the movies that #svengoolie featured on the show! #lovesven #svenpals
First, big shout out to Mikevsgodzilla who graciously gifted me these autographed artist series trading cards!
When I brought them home, hubby said I should get them framed. Found this on Amazon and it showcases the cards very nicely.
I eventually want to get Rich to sign his artwork, hopefully at Flashback.
Thanks again Mike!!
Rubber chicken multiball!!
Tonight, we do not destroy a couple of monsters, not a few monsters, not many monsters, not most of the monsters. Tonight is the night to Destroy All Monsters. Sorta similar to House of Dracula or House Frankenstein, kinda like an MCU movie, this one is full of big names.
Have you seen it, have you not? Do you have a favorite monster in this film? Do you have any stories to tell about your connection to the movie?
For me, any Kaiju movie takes me back to being a kid and in December of 1980 pushing the tape recorder up to the tv to record Son Of Svengoolie. The distinct monster rawrs, and Sven’s jokes, right there.
Now that we're halfway through the year. I want to share my favorite Svengoolie showings from each month.
January - King Kong vs Godzilla: I honestly wasn't a big fan of Destroy All Monsters. And as someone trying dipping their toes into the Godzilla franchise. This is my favorite movie from it so far. The stands out were Ichirō Arishima's performance. As well as the suits, while ugly as heck! The suit actors did a great job and Godzilla and Kong's final fight was my favorite scene! I also liked seeing Kong strangle while he's being carried. He really said"Let me go so I can catch my fade!"
February - The War of the Worlds: I learned about the radio version of the story in college so I'm glad I got to watch this. There's a lot of technical talk and it lost my attention at some points. But visually it's stunning. Everything is black with accents of red, blue and green. And the effects for the most part still hold up.
March - Friday the 13th: While some of the deaths feeling a bit half-assed like with Brenda's and Steve's, I really enjoyed this showing. "Ki-ki-ki-ki Ma-ma-ma-ma"was a new vocal stim for me for a while. And the ending with Jason caught me so off guard in the best way! I also find it funny that this whole situation could have been avoided if someone said to Voorhees"Sorry to hear about your son"
April - How to Make a Monster: I will die on the hill that this movie deserves more love! It was such an interesting plot point and quite sad to see how Pete only viewed Larry and Tony as the Teenage Werewolf and Teenage Frankenstein. He essentially groomed them. Maybe it's cause Svengoolie was lucky enough to get the final scene in color which added to my enjoyment. But I don't know, I actually like this a lot!
May - Earth vs The Spider: You know, I'm a simple man. All I need is a giant, supernatural, unsuspecting thing terrorizing a bunch of dumb people from the 1950s to make me happy. This was the only showing from May that I actually liked honestly. The scene where the spider terrorizes the town happens quite early in the film, so I was worried that everything after was just going to be boring and purely to kill time, but no! The scene where Kingman saves his wife and child from the spider was really good and the plot point of Claire's birthday gift was even better. I wish we got a sequel where as Kingman says"Some dumb kid digs him up"cause I think it would kill, no pun intended (well, maybe).
June - Time of their Lives: I doubted this movie at first cause I thought the whole thing was going to be set in the 1700s. But someone get me a poka dot afro and a red nose cause I feel like a clown. I should've known Lou and Bud would never let me down!(Even though I saw one other film from them lol.) Seeing Horatio and Melody's ghost shenanigans and tom foolery was a real treat.
The great Christopher Hamby is back again with his blog featuring "Destroy All Monsters" on Sven tonight!
While watching Destroy All Monsters, I realized this wasn't the only film with beautiful Kilaak women in cool outfits. The office fashionistas went *kilaak kilaak kilaak* across the marble floors in the Devil Wears Prada.
King Ghidora getting swarmed, stomped, bloodied and beaten to death and then the lifeless corpse getting buried.
Why is some stupid fake news broadcast on MeTV tonight during my Svengoolie time!!!! My fellow Las Vegas Sven fans we need answers!!!
