New bike making a scary sound
I got this new bike and it's making a scary sound from the right crank. obviously something seriously wrong but I'm wondering if it's an obvious issue or not.

I got a new tenways CGO600 Pro bike delivered yesterday. I ordered it from the tenways site. And rode it for the first time today. However, it’s making this noise. Anyone knows what this might be? Thanks!
My CGO009 ebike has 3 dots of charge in the battery. I can use the control panel to put it in 1, 2 or 3. Everything seems to work fine, except the motor has zero propulsion. My bikeshop has a 2 month waiting list. Does anyone have any trouble shooting manual or any kind of idea as to what it may be? I will try to fix it myself, but I have to know where to start.
This carrier has failed me twice now. Both times it was loosened hardware which connects the two stems to the carrier. First time was the hardware that connects to the stem which allowed the carrier to slide back and off. The second time was the hardware which connects the stem holder to the top of the carrier. I'm carrying items for delivery in a custom attached laundry basket which is probably above weight limit in some cases. Has anyone made improvements to this carrier or found an alternative that handles weight better? Perhaps just an improvement on the hardware part of the carrier which connects to the stems and the top of the carrier? I need something that is going to lock into place. I can't continue to allow failure to wreck my cargo. Thanks.
Got my Willow Mist (New Edition) CGO600 Pro last week. Did the following additions/tweaks, from front to back:
- AirTag bell
- Ergon GC1 handlebars
- rear-view mirror
- (coming soon) iApp speed changer from 25km/h to 32km/u
- Matte screen protector, anti reflective and fingerprint proof
- SP Connect universal mount on my stem
- Dune-colored Wrap. Doesnt cover all of the bike (like the inside part of the fork) but looks really nice, wrapped it myself and protects the paint from chipping. I feel less like ‘don’t bump it into the doorframe’ when putting the bike away’.
- SKS anywhere bottle holder
- Suntour SP12 suspension seatpost
- Suntour anti dust cover
- Selle Royal Respiro Moderate saddle
- anti theft locks instead of the quick release locks on the seatpost and front wheel
- ABUS 6950m lock (with supporting chain lock)
- Official rear carrier
- Reflector for the carrier
Coming soon: 3D printed belt drive protector and a combination battery/charger holder.
The difference in comfort is insane. I guess another set of wheels would be a nice extra upgrade, but I’m waiting for them to go flat or degrade.

Hi everyone!
I've been riding one or two children on a Chinese longtail (Engwe LE20 passengers) and I'm mostly happy with it. Long range, suspensions, comfy,... It has however two issues: the stand is ill-designed (too short and too narrow) and the strong forces acting on the chain cause it and the cassette to wear out quickly. In other words, my use of it makes it a heavy maintenance bike.
Considering these drawbacks, I'm envisaging to switch to a Longtail Duo hoping to significantly reduce the maintenance thanks to the belt system.
My intended daily usage: 35-40 km, bringing normally one child to school, riding further to work on mostly flat ground (couples of short hills), city environment, low quality streets and some cobblestones. EU country. My requirements: suspension, 80+ Nm torque, belt, longtail format. Nice to avoid: Bosch (personal prejudice).
What do some users of this bike think? Good or bad idea? Any relevant personal experience?
Many thanks in advance for your swarm intelligence!
Welke ringslot past op de cgo800s en zijn er flex mounts voor nodig?
I am seriously regretting buying this mess of a bike.
On my first ride yesterday at 22kph my front tyre suddenly popped out, exploded and almost threw me off my bike while I was in front of a bus. Through a sheer miracle the bus saw my distress, emergency braked and saved my life. The bike shop I bought it from changed the tyre and wheel and said the tyre had a manufacturing defect and the bead came loose from the rubber. That is shockingly bad quality control.
The more persistent issue is this bike feels absolutely horrendous to cycle even at PAS3. The assist cuts out at 22-23kph and it feels like cycling bogged down in mud to reach 25kph. On my road bike I can comfortably cycle 30-35kph but I work up a sweat. It feels fun. On my old ebike i can comfortably cycle 25kph with minimal effort and push it higher if I start putting some real effort in. On this mess of a bike I have to push it hard to keep it at 25kph. This makes sweat free commuting impossible and this bike completely useless.
I asked Tenways support and they directed me to the local dealer. The local dealer says they tried the bike before sale and that it was fine and seemed unwilling to help with this issue. Short of returning the bike and buying something else, is there another solution? I saw mention of a firmware update but I don't see any mention of it since last year.
Exceptional video showing a fork, wheel, belt, and other mods with all the specific product info. I've done some mods on my own bike but these are advanced.
