Thought I’d share this for anyone looking for a belt to match their Burgundy Ramblers—Nick’s Boots Bison Oxblood Roughout is a pretty close match.
This is my first pair of moc toes since they switched from the 2 piece toe to the pinch stitched moc. These are still at the edge, making a corner like Red Wing moc toes rather than sitting on top of the toe like Grant Stone or Nick's, and I'm happy about that. Looking through the offerings on the website, see them doing the toe both ways and I don't know why they change so much. These look and feel great though. 1/2 size down from brannock and my casual last size still works. I like this waxed rough out a lot. I wanted the lighter rough shot but it wasn't available in my size so I went with the chocolate. It's still lighter than the java. These only came with the 1 pair of laces and they're obviously way too short so I'll be putting leather laces from Drew's in these also.

They came with my MTO boots. Not complaining, I expect to wear the hell out if them but I am curious regardless if someone would know how to get rid of them?
Got these in the sale a couple of weeks ago. Beautiful boots but not something I see myself going to over my other black boots. Figured I would give someone a chance at a great price as they are back to $510 on the site. Trades would be welcome however my size varies based on brand and last. I like these now that I see them in person. haven’t given them a proper go yet, but they are on deck for the sunrise trip to the park tomorrow. I think I’m done buying boots, this got really out control really fast, but I do love them all. I try to buy different leathers if I’m gonna buy, and tend to stick to style/last that fits me best, but I do experiment in size. You can do a lot with a pair of socks, or an insert. A couple leathers got repeated, but I’m working on fixing that… NO MORE BOOTS ! I sure with I had a blue pair…
Black Oiled RO 79last/Casual Last Uplands just landed, 2nd pair in this leather (1st pair are OG 20last Upland Plain toes).
Honestly cant get enough of this beefy oily/waxy supple 7-8oz leather, super weather resistant & smells great lol.
The way the oil creates a sheen due to it heavily being packed into the Roughout reminds me of Redwings Spitfire leather that has that same unique look. It does go away with heavy wear & the nappy goodness starts to show way more. I wasnt even into black boots like that but these are just a favorite among the rotation.
Headed to Midland Odessa today and decided to bring these bad boys with me. Haven’t worn these in a month or so and forgot how comfortable they are right out the box.
Finally feel like the patina is getting over that initial waxed flesh hump. Had these for 5 months. Probably my most or second most worn pair of boots during that time period.
Considering now sending them in to Wyatt and Dad for the Iron Logger package with Dr Soles half soles. They’ve been poorly balanced since the start but I’ve just been delaying getting them re-heeled or recrafted.
I don’t know if anyone knows the answer to this but I’m curious to know the difference between these two types of leathers. Roughshot have a similar look to waxed flesh but it’s not called wax flesh. Could it just be a different brand of leather? I appreciate any input

I've been wearing Iron Rangers for a few years, and I'm looking to dip my toes into a Truman boot. For those who have owned both, how does the sizing compare between the Truman 79 last and the Red Wing No. 8 last? In Iron Rangers, I had to size down half a size from my Brannock measurement, and a full size down from the size I wear in sneakers. Should I expect the same in a pair of Trumans? Thanks.
