She isn't suppose to be up there but oh well
I can't get mad at this little ball of fluff
Just adopted her from a rescue a few weeks ago. Vet paperwork says Turkish Angora
I didn’t even know about this breed until I saw the name in her paperwork. She was a stray before the rescue found her so I don’t think she’s had any genetic testing, how do the vets know? Please share all of your tips for this breed! I have other cats, how does this breed differ in needs/temperament?
Shaving/trimming for the summer.
Hello! i recently adopted a 1.5ish year old angora and was wondering if anyone had any advice on shaving/trimming for the summer in NYC. My apartment can get very warm, i will be installing ACs in the apartment in June, but it is still warm. i have read that their hair helps them regulate heat, but i’ve seen him laying on the floor more often over the past couple of warm days.
any advice or tips are appreciated.
cat tax attached.

A national treasure in its native land, and a masterpiece in mine
How will an turkish angora cat deal with this?
Hello good people of reddit I have a question will an turkish angora cat deal well with my VERY LOUD baby brother that screams when his excited and sad he likes to shut doors but we can work on that. but I can't stop him from going insane whenever my mom doesn't let him destroy the house he screams quite often but I want a long living pet so I try to get something that is resilient in terms of loud noises i live in an apartment
My newest baby
Jk he's probably not a Turkish angora because he was adopted from a Humane Society! He's an all white domestic long hair with heterochromia! I think he's either partially or fully deaf 🥲 he is actually the sweetest little boy.
I never had a such a sweet and talkative cat before, I think she's Turkish Angora
There are only two things on her mind, cuddles and mischief
Little devils in cute disguise
So the new way of playing is to forcefully remove the kitchen skirting boards. Yes I have reinforced them, and also pit heavy blocks before them. They still get it done.
Elegance isn't just a look; it's a Turkish Angora trait.
