Hi everyone,

I am completely new to IPTV and would love some help getting started. Could anyone explain how it works, how to use it, and how to set it up as if I were a five-year-old?

Additionally, I would appreciate any recommendations for the best apps to use. I use both Android and Apple devices, so I would prefer an app that is available on both platforms. Alternatively, I am open to using two separate individual apps if they are the best options for their respective platforms. I don't mind whether the recommendations are free or paid.

I have an older 4K Apple TV
UHF pro app
Strong 8k subscription
I am in the uk

Tv plays nicely
Vod things though like From are jerky.

I have had a quick play with the settings but cannot seem to resolve.

My default player is metal.

Anyone had this before and turned on or off the right combination of things to make it play nice?

Wondering whether it’s fps driven as uk based?
I have no issue with broadband speed etc it’s definitely an issue with something software based

I used to recommend UHF because it was simple, stable and actually did the most important thing well: play IPTV reliably.

Lately I feel like the app is going in completely the wrong direction.

AngelVPN always worked perfectly fine for me, so I genuinely don’t understand why so much attention seems to be going into adding more VPN options, integrations and other features while basic playback still has problems.

Removing VLC was probably the biggest downgrade for me. VLC was easily the most reliable player option. Now we’re pushed towards KSPlayer and, in my experience, it simply isn’t as good. More playback problems, more inconsistencies and an experience that feels less reliable than what we had before.

And that’s the frustrating part: why remove something that worked?

I’ve also noticed more and more users reporting things like playback/stuttering issues, EPG problems, syncing/backup problems, crashes and differences between how things behave on iPhone and Apple TV.

Of course every app has bugs. That’s normal.

What bothers me is the direction.

It feels like we’re constantly getting more features, while the basic IPTV experience isn’t becoming more stable. Personally I’d rather have 10 features that work perfectly than 50 features where I’m constantly wondering what the next update is going to break.

The developer’s attitude towards criticism has also started putting me off the app. Some of the replies to users on the App Store come across as sarcastic or unnecessarily defensive. People reporting problems with something they’ve paid for shouldn’t be made to feel stupid for raising them.

UHF genuinely used to be one of my favourite IPTV apps.

Now I find myself thinking:

Is UHF actually a better IPTV player today than it was 6–12 months ago?

For me, the answer is no.

There are more features, yes.

But more features doesn’t automatically mean a better app.

I’d much rather see the focus go back to playback quality, stability, EPG, syncing and making the core experience rock solid before adding even more things.

Curious if I’m the only one feeling this way, or if other long-time users have noticed the same decline.

Has anyone be able to add this AIO instance into UHF? I am unable to. I get an error message when I try to import the json. Is there a guide somewhere? I appreciate any help

Ever since the latest update (iOS 1.100.0), the app will join the VPN initially, but then automatically disconnect whenever I try to update my playlist. Along with this, my playlists do not update correctly. Is anyone else having this issue?

EDIT: It also says server response is in incorrect format. Every channel I have loaded works normally, but channels and channel categories won’t update.

EDIT 2: I have kept the app at 1.99.0 on my iPad and it works perfectly fine; this leads me to believe it’s a bug with the latest update.

EDIT 3: It seems to work fine when connected over Wi-Fi, but it was having issues when trying to update over cellular connection while out and about.

Hello all, first post here, been a long time lurker.

Thanks to everyone who takes the time to answer back to many like me who are new to the world of IPTV

after going through a lot of posts and comments trying to understanding everything I needed to, I have gone ahead with UHF as my main player on the Apple TV and my iPhone, for services I went ahead with B1G and Dream (backup)

With 2 services riding on one app, I am able to select which one I want to use, while the other stays untouched.

I wanted to know from the experts here, is there a separate app or a setting UHF which lets me use both the services at the same time, like a combined EPG and the entire selection of VOD movies n series?

I do not want to switch back n forth as one has a better collection of live channels and the other has a better collection of movies n shows.

Hello all, I’m an avid fan of UHF and have set up a server for recordings but have a suggestion, for those who have 2 connections (so 2 B1G or 2 Strong with the same user/pass) is there a way in which you can live record. So watch a news programme and have it recording at the same time (1 connection for the watch and 1 for the recording)
