almost 2m utang

hello po. im a mom of 2. earning 90k monthly po but joggling 2 wfh jobs at the same time. my husband works from home too but yung salary nya is sa panggastos namin everyday so ang sahod ko po sa utang lang napupunta. wasnt expecting my utang na lumaki po ng ganto. its a mix of poor financial decision plus may times na nagkakasakit, may naoospital, mawawalan ng work and need magstop mag work since nabuntis and nanganak.

so may loan po ako sa bank and naka one year na ako, paying 50k monthly. 1 year to go pa pero ang bigat na huhu akala ko kasi nun macover ng naloan sa bank lahat ng loans from other apps. ang problema nabayaran ko nga pero humiram na naman ako. never naman po ako nalate.

meron din po ako mga spay, tiktokpaylater, lazpay, atome, billease. di ko alam pano ko napapagkasya yung 90k sa lahat ng to (God's grace) but sobrang scared ako na mawalan ulit ng work and paano if may magkasakit ulit sa mga kids or samin ng husband ko. i wanna break the cycle po. any advice pano po ako makakalabas dito? 🥹 takot naman po ako ma OD kasi takot po ako maipost and ayaw ko naman din guluhin nila contacts ko. hindi na po ako makahanap pa ng extra work since both kami ni hubby working more than 12hrs na with small kids pa ☹️ salamat po.

I have a debt of more than 2M

Honestly, I feel like I’m drowning. I’ve tried applying to different banks, but no one is willing to approve my application.

I also tried fintech lenders, but some of the payment terms are so difficult. Imagine having over 90 days to pay, but the first payment is already a huge amount. After that, the succeeding payments are less than ₱20, which doesn’t really make sense for someone already struggling.

What should I do? If anyone has recommendations share.

PS. I do have a full-time job, but my company doesn’t allow a second job, and violating that policy could cost me my employment.
I honestly willing to pay the loan if its was approved, my salary would be able to cover it only if the loan is enough to consolidate all my debts. At least no more finance charges, endless call for different fintech lenders

Need advice

Hello! Is it okay na i-OD muna yung atome ko since ayoko na po sana talaga mag tapal system just to pay it.

Aside from them spam calling you, do they call ur reference contact too? And totoo po ba na they also call other people from your contacts na di mo naman nilagay sa reference? How do I avoid that if it's possible?

Please ayoko na po magtapal system. I can pay for my other debts this month pero di talaga kaya sa atome. Rejected po ako sa ibang banks for personal loan, wala ring feedbacks from others.

I only have utang sa SpayLater and atome pero mejo malalaki the amount at hindi ko talaga kaya muna for now yung atome. I wanna stop tapal system pero takot ako sa harassment for me and my contacts kaya naiisip ko pa rin mangutang na naman to pay it off. Please badly need your advice po thanks

BPI - Notice of Demand for Payment

I have a ₱1.6M BPI credit card debt that grew from around ₱600k because I kept paying only the minimum due. I haven’t been able to pay for the past 5 months because I’m currently unemployed.

I’ve also been in and out of the hospital and recently lost my baby, so my mental health has been really affected. I received a message from SP Madrid & Associates Law saying they will file a Notice of Demand for Payment.

I want to settle my debt, but they’re asking for over ₱30k a month, which I simply can’t afford. Has anyone been in a similar situation? What happened, and what are my options?

Government Employee | Drowning in Debt

Hi, I badly need some advice.

I am a government employee earning 40k a month pero 13k na lang halos ang take home dahil sa mga loans sa government institutions na salary deduction. So these 13k goes mainly for my basic needs such as rent, food, utilities, and allowances for the whole month.

Long story bakit nasa account nya.

Need advice on settling my senior citizen father’s old bank debt

Hi everyone. I’m hoping to get some advice from anyone who has gone through something similar.

My father was laid off from work while I was still in college. Since then, as their only child, I’ve been the one supporting my parents’ daily needs. We eventually moved from our old city to the province after I found stable employment.

Recently, I traveled back to our old city and found a demand letter addressed to my father. That’s when I learned he has an unpaid debt with Metrobank, and the account has already been endorsed to a law office/collection agency.

When I confronted my parents, they admitted they knew about it but didn’t tell me because they didn’t want to become an even bigger burden. My father is now a senior citizen, has no source of income, and I’m the one supporting both of them financially.

I want to help settle this debt, but I honestly don’t know where to start. I have a few questions:

  1. Is it possible to negotiate directly with the law office or collection agency?
  2. Can I request a significant discount or settlement amount considering my father’s age, lack of income, and our financial situation?
  3. What documents should I prepare before contacting them?
  4. Are there things I should avoid saying or agreeing to during the negotiation?
  5. Has anyone here successfully negotiated a reduced settlement for an old bank debt?

I’m not trying to avoid paying. I genuinely want to resolve this properly, but I also hope they’ll consider our circumstances and offer a reasonable settlement that I can actually afford.

Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

23F drowning in debt. I need advice on how to get out of this.

Hi everyone. I'm a 23F working in Manila and I badly need advice on how I can repay my debts.

Here are all of my current debts:

  • SLoan (including SPayLater): ₱87,945
  • GLoan: ₱22,944
  • Grab: ₱11,898
  • BillEase: ₱9,602
  • JuanHand: ₱13,630

Total debt: ₱146,019

My monthly salary is around ₱24,000 (around ₱11k per cutoff after deductions). I also have to pay for rent, utilities, food, and transportation since I live and work in Manila. My family is in Mindanao, and I'm the only one working here.

I'm considering using the debt snowball method because I honestly can't keep up with all the monthly payments anymore. I've been doing the "tapal system" for months, taking loans from Grab, BillEase, and JuanHand just to pay my other loans and I know that was a huge mistake. Now I'm stuck in a cycle that I don't know how to escape.

For context, my debts came from:

  • College tuition that I'm still paying off
  • Borrowing money for my dorm down payment
  • Sending money to my family
  • Medical expenses when I got sick

I feel really overwhelmed and disappointed in myself. I know I made bad financial decisions, but I genuinely want to fix them and stop relying on new loans.

If you were in my situation, what would you prioritize first? Should I use the snowball method, avalanche method, or is there another strategy that worked for you? Any advice would really mean a lot.

Thank you.

I Lost ₱831,000 to Gambling. Is There Any Way Out Without the Debt Growing Forever?

May pag-asa pa ba akong makabangon?

Hi everyone,

BDO – ₱120,000

UnionBank Personal Loan – ₱60,000

UnionBank Credit Card 1 – ₱70,000

UnionBank Credit Card 2 – ₱90,000

EastWest – ₱120,000

Metrobank – ₱90,000

RCBC – ₱60,000

Billease – ₱50,000

Sloan – ₱70,000

Shopee PayLater – ₱5,000

Mocamoca – ₱9,000

GCash – ₱43,000

Maya – ₱6,000

Tala – ₱4,000

JuanHand – ₱15,000

FT Lending – ₱15,000

Cashify – ₱4,000

Mas okay bang makipag-negotiate bago mag-default o pagkatapos?

Help me decide

Hiiii! I'm 31F, lives with partner, no kids, with 2 dogs, I am in charge sa mga bills (rent, water, electricity, internet, phones, cc), and sya sa food. I recently got addicted to online casino, una okay pa e. Pahundred hundred lang ang talo, tapos nanalo. Then kahapon, I lost yung pangbayad ko ng bills (roughly 30K) and decided to apply for a loan sa Maribank ng 40k, 6mos to pay. Hindi 'to alam ng partner ko, and she's been telling me na "Bobo ang nagsusugal" just to prevent me from gambling. And here I am now, stressing myself out kung sasabihin ko ba sa kanya na nakapagloan ako dahil natalo ako sa sugal. Akala ko kasi mababawi pa e. Now, I paid most of our bills aside from my cc kasi I tried my luck again kanina lang but lost another 10.

PS.

I need advise. :(

Please do not repost, dummy account ko lang to as I'm using my ign (in game name) sa main account ko na alam ng partner ko.

I am financially fucked.

I finally sat down and acknowledged how much debt I have. For the longest time I treated my lifestyle/spending habits as something normal and that "deserve ko naman". I wanted to feel I have an average life and that I can afford things, that I am not poor and I don't need to struggle. But eventually, living a life out of what you can only afford to do so will leave you financially ruined. The debts I have was all because of material things I always wanted to have when I was a kid and the things I never experienced. Growing up poor made a lasting impact on me in a negative way - to want things so badly instead of working hard to get them. I have never learned about delayed gratification and would never know how to apply them to anything in my life until now that I am 28. Ever since I started working, I always wanted to have things that would make my life easier - new phone, computer, household items, buying foods online, anything just to feel I am capable of achieving a status - a societal status that I have normalized for the past years and always failed to acknowledge that I am not something yet. I should be thinking about achieving goals like others do - as simple as saving money to buy a new laptop but I am ashamed to acknowledge that "saving money" has never been in my vocabulary, it's a thought that would never cross my mind, even makes me ick thinking about not spending my money on something the moment I have it. I think I have conditioned my mind that I can afford anything, purchasing anything under installments, telling myself that I wouldn't even realize I already paid them off after months or even a year. Installments after installments piled up, loan after loan topped one after another. For someone like me that has been earning about 25k average a month for the past years, I know I should already be haunted with even having 100k of debt in my name, but I still didn't care the fact. I just thought I have these platforms to loan money from so I'll be okay. If I need something there's Spay to help me get that item I heartfully desire, Billease is there If I'm short on money. I can pay them all anyway, voices in my head always tells me.

I just made a spreadsheet to track down my overall debts before writing this, I just added below the total for each month that I need to settle until I become debt free. It's now totaling 334k across BillEase / Uno Loan / Gloan / Sloan / Spay / SAVii / HomeCredit / SSS and others. Not to mention my monthly bills of about 18k for food/rent/electricity etc. My monthly income is now averaging 50k but paying all my debts off will still be a struggle - a struggle I decided to finally face and change my habits for the better. I'm starting it with first acknowledging how fucked I am right now, that I did this to myself and I should face the consequences.

Sorry for the large block of texts. For all those that finally became debt-free, can you please share how'd you do it? Thank you in advance and let's all commit to being debt-free in the next few months!

Planning to OD my SLOAN & SPAYLATER, advice pleass?

I have 67,700 multiple SLOAN that will end on May 2027and 56,000 SPAYLATER that will end on June 2027.

I'm planning to not pay my sloan muna sana ang focus on paying my spaylater since based sa mga posts here ay mas malala yung calls & texts kapag spaylated yung hindi nabayaran. Tho di naman sa papabayaan ko na yung sloan ko, since 7k monthly siya, plan ko is kahit mga 2k muna basta may movement. Pero focus ko sana is spaylater talaga muna.

Any tips po to handle this? May other loans pa ako, sa sahod ko monthly halos 60% non napupunta sa pagbayad sa utang kaya gusto ko sana wag na sagarin pagbayad but unti-unti.

I'm from Laguna area pala btw. Takot lang ako ma-home visit kasi yung permanent address na nakalagay sakin is yung sa parents ko pa, but currently I'm in different apartment. Hindi kasi nila alam na marami na akong utang, all in all nasa 150k siya including other loans ko sa ibang apps like mariloan and gcashloan.

Please I want to pay my debts pero unti-unti lang kaya ko huhu.

UnionBank Credit Card Small Claims

Hi po,

I have UB credit card debt amounting 116k, and Im been delinquent since October 2025.

Dahil sa maling financial handling, unexpected happenings, financial issues and all hindi ko na mamanage ng tama ang mga CC and loans ko, lahat sila defaulted na. Im earning at least 40k a month and napupunta lang siya sa pang bayad ng bills, house responsibilities and other debts. Wala akong property na pwedeng ibenta.

I just receive a court summon for small claim vs UB and I believe legit siya since taga Metropolitan Trial court po ang nagdeliver nung summon letters along side ng mga documents, he mention I dont need an attorney and mas okay daw pong pumunta for the judge to help me, as off now wala akong means of way to pay them and ayaw ko na gawin yung “tapal system” since I realize isa ito sa reasons bakit ako nalubog sa utang. And I know mali pero I choose to ignore all calls coming from unknown numbers kasi alam kong mga taga collection agency sila, it give me anxiety and stress, but I send emials naman po once in a while, in fact twice ako nagemail kay UB and hindi ako nakareceive ng response if meron I might overlook it again my fault.

Any advise po? I actually planning to call UB, good move po ba ito and if ever na tawagan ko sila at hindi naman okay sa situation ko yung offer nila whats next?
