It'd be funny if the release date for VFCR was hiding in plain sight
...October 30th 2027, of course. I'm not saying this is confirmed, but it would be some genius-tier marketing. (10/30/27 is, in fact, a Saturday!)

I tried to make grok ai to generate what would virtua fighter 4 would have looked like if it was remade today. Well some of the parts of this ai video didn't go well but the visuals is at least good. Lol
VF6 will be here soon and I just wanted to give VF5 its flowers. Not many other fighters let's you express yourself so freely as VF5 does. The system mechanics work together flawlessly. I imagine VF6 will expand and push the genre forward. VF5 will always be looked back on fondly. And even when VF6 releases there will be those who come back to this gem. Myself included.
Just going over thoughts on the new mysterious character, a detail on her outfit peaked my interests.
A personal criticism of the legacy games is that they provided very little information on the characters. VFCR could provide fully voiced autobiographies that we can archive.
It’s nice to learn about characters organically through story interactions but it can also be direct. It’s nice to hear a character describe themselves in their own words and personality.
It’d be nice to see these for important NPCs as well.
As awesome those K.O. sequences are, i wonder if they will work only if a punch/kick will be aimed at the face. It would be cool if sequences like this were seen for example during punch in the stomach
I couldn't see this posted before. I thought it was interesting as someone a little starved for vs battle combat system details. :)
The trailer just reached half a million views. The algorithm looks fucking insane. I hope more characters and an actual gameplay soon.
One of my favorite things about Virtua Fighter 5 in Japanese arcades was the card system. I feel like it's one of the cooler aspects of that era that we rarely talk about. You could save your match history, rank, and your own custom costume to a physical card. No matter which arcade you went to, your fighter came with you. Personally, I felt like it was just a cool touch VF5 had in Japanese arcades that never really made its way over to the States.
I really hope Virtua Fighter: Crossroads finds a modern way to bring this back. Maybe it's a smartphone app, a QR code, or something similar that works at offline FGC events. Imagine walking up to a setup, scanning your phone, and instantly loading your character, customization, and match history. It may be one of those things that's lost to time, but surely there are smarter people than me who can figure it out.
Would you want "data cards" in some form to come back? What would you want them to store?
Why do people decline rematches? Yeah sure you stomped me out, but I'm new to the game and seriously trying to learn. Plus the wait time is horrendous and often times I'm rematching the same person because no one is playing ranked, but honestly it doesn't bother me.
I'm coming from playing Tekken 8 so it boggles me
I matched up with someone named Ttowntony who was on psn and they played leifei first then wolf, those were some good sets today!!! Wish I couldve played longer but I'm on night shift. Gg!!!!-Chile Piquin
Excellent video analyzing the seeming lack of launch attacks in Virtua Fighter Crossroads and what it means for various elements of the game. Go watch it!
I'm coming over from Tekken. I've tried to enjoy T8 but I really cant at this point. The new Virtua Fighter game looks visual stunning and im hoping to learn the game mechanics before it comes out. What would you recommend for a new player getting into the series? I also have a couple questions im hoping can be answered. How important is movement compared to a game like tekken? How knowledge checky is the game? Thanks to anyone who responds.
Edit: beginner character recommendations are also welcome
Would you be hyped to see "The Boss" with her CQC as a guest character in Virtua Fighter 6?
With Tekken being my main 3D fighter; there's something about VF that's hits different and love the level of unpredictability from this most recent tournament.
I'm thinking Palantir, Apple, SpaceX, OpenAI, Anthropic, and add your big pharma + oil.
Throw Tencent in there as well haha.
Hiii 👋👋
Just picked up this game due to the recent Virtua Fighter Crossroads announcements.
I want to create a video series showing the learning experience of this game :]
Enjoy! And please share critiques of the video and guides for pai chan 🙏 ❤️
Hey.
I translated this segment from the latest stream RGG studio did. they talked about VF6 towards the end. Yokoyama touched on the subject of the fighting games saturation and how VF is trying to create its own niche in this market.
I thought it was very interesting and wanted to share it.
