Everything indicates that she is a disciple of Pai using her moveset, while the real Pai will use the fighting style of her deceased and hated father.

When I saw the character, he immediately reminded me of Jamie from Street Fighter 6. However, because of the name and the style of his clothes, I believe Cielo might be Filipino (the Philippines was a Spanish colony for over 300 years, which means there are strong Spanish influences there, such as names, clothing, culture, and so on).

Also, his height reminds me of El Blaze, which means El Blaze now has another tiny character to compete with over who is the shortest character in the game.

Now comes the important question: Did I like Cielo?

The truth is that I hated the character, because it became obvious that he is using Vanessa’s moveset, and the Brazilian Vanessa is one of the most beloved and popular characters in the game. It would be very disappointing to find out that Vanessa was replaced by a character with the same level of charisma as Diego from Dead or Alive 6.

I’m not saying that Virtua Fighter 6 looks bad — everything looks incredible so far — but I really hated the fact that Cielo seems to have “stolen” Vanessa’s moves and offensive fighting style.

The good side is that Vanessa might now receive a second fighting style, and that second style could be Capoeira, since some of her moves in VF5 are based on Capoeira (like the spinning kick she performs with Guard+Kick while in offensive stance).

So it’s possible that Vanessa in VF6 could switch between Vale Tudo and Capoeira.
