I'm just going to play world stage mode and cba to lab

This game has so much depth that even thinking about sitting hours in the lab is long. I don't know how you guys do it but yeah I think I'll remain superrr casual. 😂😬

Omar doesn't have a filter

Omar is cool but he's very reckless at the same time. He seems to just say what he thinks out loud and I think that's going to work against him. He's giving me Marcello vibes just a tad...

This season is going to be a make or break for the ITV version of the show

The ITV version of big brother has been underwhelming. If they do another season of housemates being able to manipulate nominations every week I think this will definitely be the final season that I will watch. Just go back to the original format. PLEASE. I don't want to see constant back doors in the final weeks then having to wait for the following day to find out... I'm hearing about a new house every week.. I'm curious on what they mean by this??? Production needs to listen to their viewers if they really want to save this show.

I work on an insane helpdesk.. I'm genuinely losing my mind

I work for a big franchise thats running a desk on limited resource managing over 800 users on their domain. There's only like 3 of us resolving tickets. I will resolve 1 another 3 or 4 gets raised. I get my queue down to 20 and by the end of lunch I'm back on 50 tickets. I also get direct messages through our companies main communication messenger service, we have an active window open for in person walk ups like we're some sort of tech bar, on top of setting up new joiners devices, replacements, wiping devices. It's actually destroying my soul. We get no thank you, or any kind of appreciation for doing a good job. It's just stats, stats. First response and resolution times within our SLA. We're not even an MSP, just internal in house. I don't know why anyone wants to get into IT service desk, but I guess it depends on the business and the overall structure.

Don't get too comfortable remaining in an IT service desk role

Working as an IT Service Desk Analyst is a good entry point position into IT but avoid becoming too comfortable and remaining in that position for years. If you want to grow in this field you will want to specialise in a specific area whether that's in infrastructure, cyber security, dev ops etc. I know a few people that have spent 7 years in service desk with very little growth...

I work for a very poorly managed IT service desk

We have a service desk and work within SLA but also have a window for walk ins throghout the day. Staff don't respect boundaries. They'll raise anything and everything basically running a tech bar and service desk simultaneously at this point. Meanwhile I have to manage the high volume of tickets that get raised. On top of building replacement devices, new joiners and wiping devices. Get back to emails, IT issues being raised in our IT slack channel. My mental health is deteriorating and there's a small team of us working a service desk for a big organisation.... Our senior analysts are aware of the issue but are not speaking up to our service lead...

How do I tell my IT service lead manager that we need to start setting boundaries when it comes to walk ups?

We have a service desk which should be the central point of contact to raise service and incident tickets. But we also have constant in person walk ups and messages going off on Slack plus we're expected to monitor an IT slack channel.. While having a service level agreement and having to do the daily IT operations of setting up new devices for new joiners, wiping returned devices etc. This is a large size company with just 4 of us on the desk. It's starting to mentally drain me.

Hi guys I started crying during labbing

I'm a new tekken player and can't even do one combo. When I dropped heihachi basic bnb I started to cry after one hour. I always wanted to be good at tekken and I began to think this will never be a thing. I turned off my console and began to cry for hours in bed with my covers over my head. I spent years watching Tekken tournaments and always wanted to be good at tekken. I live in a very poor country and been saving my pennies to finally buy tekken 8. Everyday I knocked on people's doors to ask to clean their windows. After 3 months of doing this I was finally able to buy the game but I'm so bad. I can't even do one combo 😭😭😭 I feel like I'm going to cry again while I'm writing this message. This game means everything to me. 😟🥺

Never using a PureGym Personal trainer ever again for any sort of service

PureGym personal trainers are not worth it. I had a health consultation meeting with one of them a month ago and then decided i'll give him a chance to write me a program. He set it up on the trainerize app. But honestly it was probably the worse program design i have experienced, with very little effort to tailor it to my personal fitness goals even after we had a face to face discussion. It felt like he just copy and pasted a template then tried to charge me £144 a month. What a joke. Cancelled my subscription straight away. Too many amature PTs doing a 1 month course believing their qualified enough to assist you with your training, when they don't even know correct form themselves. I watched one of his demonstration videos for a deadlift and no word of a lie it was probably the worst form i have ever seen.

Working in IT as a black individual

I love working in IT support, but it has definitely given me a front-row seat to unconscious bias. I often notice certain users walk up in the morning and completely bypass me, opting to speak to my white or Asian colleagues instead. I’ve learned to embrace these situations, though. When my colleagues hit a wall with a tough technical issue, I step up, take over the troubleshooting, and solve it. The look of surprise on the user's face is incredibly satisfying. Whether we admit it or not, we all have biases. As a Black individual in tech, I regularly experience people assuming I can't help them before I even open my mouth, but there's nothing better than letting my knowledge and skills do the talking.

I played Beyblade X for the first time last night at a night club

I haven't played Beyblade for over 2 decades but after playing Beyblade X yesterday at a night club, I'm feeling the urge to get back into it. I'm 32 years old, I feel a bit too old but age is just a number at the end of the day lol. I love the additional mechanics that have been added into the game over each generation. I'm thinking about picking up a balanced bey for my first one. There's a local next week in my area, and considering to participate. Which Beyblade would you recommend picking up ?

So wait are they throwing up fake X signs now? This is alarming! This should always be kept for real situations.

Although I eventually got an offer after being rejected by everyone except one company. I genuinely empathise on how difficult it currently is to find full time employment. If anyone is considering leaving their job without another job to go to, please reconsider as you will be in for a shock. And for those still searching I hope you find something soon. ❤️

Raising a ticket and writing ASAP isn't going to make an agent prioritise your ticket over anyone else's unless it's a higher priority ticket. Also Instant messaging agents isn't going to make them action your service or incident request any faster. Instead in their minds your ticket goes further down in their ticket queue. As service desk analysts we're very aware when a new ticket gets added into our queue. Your ticket isn't the only one that exists, a lot of the time we're over stretched. If the ticket is within SLA, then we'll get to it within those agreed times.
