Hi, I need a VPN with a Turkish IP, but most websites (Tinder, Bumble, etc.) or other sites like AdGuard and some university websites detect that I’m using a VPN and don’t allow access, especially for Turkish currency and other region-specific services. Is there any clean Turkish IP VPN, or what can I do to avoid this? thanks

I’ve been looking into privacy stuff recently and every tech channel keeps pushing VPN sponsors like it’s mandatory to have one now. I understand the basic part where it changes your IP and encrypts traffic on public wifi but some ads make it sound like you become invisible online which can’t actually be true right. Like websites still know who you are if you log in and your browser still stores cookies and all that so I’m trying to figure out what VPNs realistically protect against versus what’s just advertising hype. Not hating on them btw I’m genuinely trying to understand why so many people swear by them

I’m currently in Turkey and over the last few weeks a bunch of VPN connections that used to work fine suddenly became unreliable or stopped connecting completely. Some protocols still connect for a few minutes but speeds tank fast or random sites stop loading.

I’ve been testing different settings and providers but it’s getting frustrating trying to find something stable for normal browsing and messaging. Also trying to avoid anything that causes problems with banking apps or triggers weird security checks.

Has anyone in similar regions found setups that still work consistently? Not asking for anything extreme, just reliable access without constant reconnecting and troubleshooting.

Xbox is pretty much like the PS5 when it comes to VPNs since you can’t just install VPN apps directly on the console. I’m trying to use one on my Series X mostly for accessing region locked Game Pass stuff and switching between store regions.

I’ve been looking at providers like NordVPN, ExpressVPN, and Surfshark because they all support router setups for Xbox. I also noticed some people prefer using Smart DNS instead of a full VPN since it usually keeps speeds a bit faster.

For anyone already doing this on Xbox, what setup worked best for you? Is Smart DNS enough or is running the VPN through the router the better option overall? Also curious if certain providers seem to work smoother with Xbox traffic than others
