NBD - Wesco Mister Lou

It feels like I’m the last one to get a pair out of this recent batch of Wickett & Craig Oiled Latigo Tan Wesco Mister Lou Engineer Boots. The first half of Baker’s stocking shipment contained the smaller sizes, so I had to wait on these 12E’s to arrive. Boy were they worth the wait. These things are so oily and beautiful. All my other Lous are Horsebutt or Horsehide. This veg tan W&C leather has a much stiffer temper than the others, but I’ve seen pics of these fully broken in, and they just get better with age.

It was also a good day because my new 22oz Skinner American Goods Japanese Selvedge Denim jeans arrived. They fit like a glove, but 22oz ain’t no joke. I can’t wait to see the awesome fades these have in them for the future. Can’t wait!

Can I wear it on a footbed without insoles

Do people usually wear them in a footbed condition except for the insole? There are nail marks, but I'm just curious because some people say it's the norm to wear them like this. Can I wear them in a footbed condition without having to buy a separate leather insole?

My $15.00 marketplace find.

My new to me Wesco Jobmasters

these popped up on my feed over the weekend and I was lucky enough to contact the seller before anyone else.

listed simply as "leather work boots" with two bad photos that didn't show brand or details other than a partial shot of some distinctive stitching.

definitely need a resole, but I'm going to have to wear them around a bit to see if they need a rebuild instead.
