[nypostsports] Steve Cohen confirms Juan Soto-Francisco Lindor 2025 clash and where they stand now

EXCLUSIVE | In the midst of Mets madness, team owner Steve Cohen told The Post’s Joel Sherman and Jon Heyman on “The Show” podcast Wednesday that reports of Juan Soto and Francisco Lindor not getting along last season were true but have since been resolved. “Frankly, I think that’s a story that was last year’s story,” Cohen said in an exclusive interview. “I am told and believe strongly that these guys are getting along much better. “And so, I just don’t see that as an issue anymore.” The Post first reported that Soto and Lindor’s relationship was chilly after the Mets 2025 season crumbled in the final weeks during their first season as teammates. Is Al Dukes the Most Replaceable Producer in Sports Radio?

Serious question: what exactly does "Lazy"Al Dukes contribute to WFAN's morning show anymore?

A producer is supposed to create great segments, keep the energy up, find compelling stories, and make the hosts better. Instead, it feels like we're getting the radio equivalent of week's old stale bread.

Same recycled topics. Same predictable setup. Same lifeless pacing.

If you told me his daily checklist was:

  • Print commercial copy.
  • Answer phone calls like a trained monkey.
  • Say "we should talk about the Yankees."
  • Go home.

...I'd have no reason to doubt you.

WFAN used to feel unpredictable. Now the morning show feels like it's running on cruise control, and Al seems perfectly content to steer it straight into the median.

The biggest mystery isn't whether the show needs fresh blood—it's how nobody in management has noticed that one of the most important behind-the-scenes jobs has become completely invisible.

Maybe I'm alone here, but every time I hear another stale segment or another safe, unimaginative discussion, I can't help thinking: if this is the product of the production, maybe the production is the problem.

Al’s dislike of C-Lo

Why is Al so bothered by C-Lo? There was the infamous on air meltdown he had on him a couple years ago, but he’s been whining this week and last week about him. I feel like C-Lo tries really hard to go with whatever Al throws at him on The Warm Up and does the same with the other guys when he sits in Jerry’s update chair. Regardless I am looking forward to the day he gets a permanent spot on the show.

Shaun Morash with Evan and Tiki

Having listened to Shaun's entire show today, I have some thoughts.

I like Shaun. I think he's really good on Evan and Tiki as the producer/third voice, whatever you want to call it. He adds to the conversation and plays off Evan really well. But I think he really needs someone to bounce ideas off of.

When it's him with Tiki or him with Evan, it works. Solo, though, I think some of his weaknesses get exposed. I don't really know how to describe it other than the show felt a little underwhelming.

For example, Mitch leaving New York is a pretty significant sports story, and to break that news and then immediately pivot to taking Yankees calls felt a little odd. I know Shaun's a Nets fan, but still. It just seemed like the moment deserved a little more discussion before moving on. This is just one example of a minor thing that made me think "I feel like this is a bigger story".

I like the guy and hope he does well. I just think he needs a little more time in the oven before carrying a show by himself.

Curious what everyone else thought of today's show.

Al dukes sounds like a dbag

I'm not sure what else to say but had a little context when I hear Al talk or just the things that he does. He just sounds like a little dweeb who's incredibly judgmental is way too confident and reassured in his opinions and comes across as just simply a douche.

I hate the guy but listening to him talk, hearing about what he cares about, seeing how he's incredibly so judgmental.... It's a damn shame they give him so much time.

I just wish I could turn on WFAN in the morning to hear sports talk.

But there's a reason why I only turn it on at 10:00 a.m.

Not just because of Al dukes but because of that whole morning show minus Jerry.
