Fun nonsense with Pokefrost mod

Fun nonsense with Pokefrost mod

Created an infinite loop of attacks. Wasn't sure what would happen the first time, but to the game's credit it broke the loop eventually while they relentlessly attacked an empty board.

Just beat this game - some tips

Just beat this game and it was incredible. Love the final battle and learning curve. Some tips:

  1. Snow is OP
  2. Attack increase + fury or repeat hits is also op
  3. The third tribe is best to beat final boss due to clunkers and ink. Get alot of clunkers for meat shield
  4. For the love of God do not put teeth on your leader or you’ll regret it later when you have to fight it…

Overall this is the best roguelike card game I’ve played since slay the spire

How obligated do you feel to play 22 bells?

Ive been grinding 22 bells and its a very different game.

No longer can I pick a weaker companion in hope of building up a run because the Heart of the Storm dictates a certain level of efficiency, lethality, and / or control.

I feel I need solid damage locked in before the first boss. The first companion I choose is usually what dictates Bamboozle or Infernoko being my wall. Something like a Jumbo pre-charm and post-charm is a very different companion.

The crown gold increase is also fiendish. Again, depending on my companion picks, and clan, multikills really dictate your gold income. If a run is behind the curve on lethality then crowns are typically a full gold investment.

( Dont get me started on vase pieces deciding your path )

22 bells feel like death by a thousand papercuts, which is fine and I enjoy the difficulty, but I also feel somewhat railroaded into certain picks.

Gold bordering the cards feels like Im supposed to just pick the optimal run every single time and hope a stray card or two get gold bordered along the way.

I missed the game pre-22 bells so Ive been doing 10 again but I feel so obligated to always play 22.

I think I may have soft locked myself lmao

Had I think the single most insanely overpowered run of this game I've ever had. Snoffel freezes everything every single turn, and Mini Mika here was doing absolutely insane damage (upwards of 10 damage attacks triggering 20+ times per turn)

Shout out to my build already becoming extremely OP with Snoffel here and then Mika from my last run who lost due to stupidity on my part (and already with like 7 charms) coming back injured.

I think its possible, but its definitely gonna be a while before I can win again lmao

Enough damage or nah?

Unfortunately I cannot use my laptop to take screenshots, so I know it isnt the best Pic, but I had to share this because I think its kinda funny.

Finally finished +10. Debated if it was even possible on the way there.

Corrupted boss is tough and random, but becomes manageable. Frost guardian becomes kind of joke, once you know him. But damn the Frost Jailer is so different to the rest of the game. Six beefy enemies at once, without a real chance for early kills.

Was kind of stuck for a while, but man does it feel good once you manage it!

In general I really like the Wildfrost system a lot. I hope they make another. Still prefer Slay the Spire and Monster Train, but its up there for sure!

Victory?

After 20 hours of desperately being awful, I finally reached victory? Euphoria.
