Looking for build advice on this railway bridge (inc Create mod)
Plan is to have 5 of these units to span most of a 900 block ocean. I have access to the Create mod, so can use any easily obtainable blocks from that mod, but I'm very happy to get suggestions of vanilla blocks or changes as well
Why is pagefile.sys so large on my system, and how can I reduce it? (read post)
(Windows 11) I have a 13.5GB pagefile.sys file on my PC, which I suspect has been causing a number of storage shortages on my C drive. My understanding of it is it works somewhat like a backup RAM, which confuses me because my system has 32GB of ram, and to my knowledge I haven't ever used more than about 24.
Processor AMD Ryzen 7 5700G with Radeon Graphics (3.80 GHz)
Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.8 GB usable)
Graphics card AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT (8 GB)
Storage 891 GB of 1.14 TB used (C drive 227GB of 237 used)
Spamming respawn in Test Subjects beastiary makes it grow infinitely
(No spoilers please) Stuck at a late-game geln section
I'm stuck at the glen section after >!returning!<. I've made my way to the >!Graveyard!< and have been told I have to find >!a battery and gears. I spoke to Calamus and Alula who have me hints, but I can't figure out how to get anywhere in Glen they're talking about in this playthrough, I haven't figured out how to explore beyond the gate, courtyard, and graveyard. A nudge in the right direction or the location of a new path would be appreciated!<
[Aeronautics] Strongest connection to lift absurdly heady weights? (read post)
I'm working on an airship which will have a lift capacity of around 1,000,000pN, but I can't find any way to tether that much extra weight to my airship. I tried ropes, which stretched far too much under heavy weight. I also tried making a simulated chain (like the one in this video) which held up a lot better, but snapped trying to lift more than 150,000pN. Are there any better ways to make super sturdy connections / ropes to pick up and lift heavy objects?
Budget comfortable wired over-ears, $30-70
Looking for a pair of fairly durable budget over ear headphones that don't sound like a pair of tin cans. I'm well aware within my price range nothing is going to be mind-blowing, but I need something acceptable.
I'm a freelance video editor, and while I don't specialise in sound design, audio balancing is important for my work. I'll be wearing them most of the day, every day, so comfort is the highest priority with these. Wired is preferred so I don't have to take them off in the middle of work to charge them, bonus points if it has a decently long cable.
I'm not super knowledgeable on headphones, but overall I'd say I'm looking for a reasonably balanced sound for the small amount of balancing and the occasional basic EQ I do from time to time.
I have no problem with getting a refurb if anybody knows of any good ones, so long as the refurbisher has a trusted reputation
I live on a small island in the UK without much in the ways of tech stores, so I'll be looking for things on Amazon, eBay, Backmarket, etc
