I ran out of FAS, but would like to try out one of the relic weapons max leveled.

Which of the following has better final stats?

1. FAS at lvl 1 first, then upgrade to lvl 20

2. upgrade to lvl 20 first, then FAS at lvl 20

Do both have the same final stats?

I started playing this year, so... if the alt is going to be the regular adv, how does this work?

Like, is the banner going to have secondary alt for legendary adventurer, or do they just plan a rerun banner and just add the regular alt adv there

Having a blast with the game and now wondering who is the best character from FFXI ?

At the start of the first dungeon there is a guy who can give me scroll so I can unlock Prishe or Zeid and I think Iroha but not sure if she is a priestess.

I have 3 other choice too for legendary character I think but I am a fan of FFXI so I want to know which character is best. If you have recommendation I will take it.

I took a year-long hiatus from the game and remembered that the manga spinoff is still chugging along, but has the translation team stopped after 3-2?

Party consist of Yuzu, Abenius, Marianne, Alice, Livana, all level 60, except me as a lvl 51 knight with FFXI +17 bow.

I thought the Copper Exam is quite difficult so I'm using all my Blizzaga and Stonega scrolls at the minions, then used Megalixir before fighting Necrocore alone.

Deal around 800-1k damage with FPS (every 2 turn)

But Livana got Instakilled often, and now I'm waiting to flames to appear.

That's all, don't be like me, too lazy to farm and thought Megalixir is the ticket to make me grade up fast.

Should I accept it right now or hold it off for later?

also wondering if it works outside battle (exploration)

My MC is currently a thief (level 45), spamming heavy attack 3 with a bow from the back row. It's decent single target damage, especially with the thief's bonuses to surety.
But I've been wondering, are the hiding+sneak attack or poison/bleed skills worth using and leveling up? To clarify, my MC isn't intended as main dmg dealer, but as secondary healer and dps, depending on what's needed.

I’m at 40 with her and have the opportunity to start her affection quest. Is there a mechanic in the 1v1s?

I’m at the point where I beat bro by a lucky evade, dad was beaten by a revive (he joined final battle) and I’m thinking this can’t be it, I think there’s more to hoping for an evade while I spam armor break > HA2?

Such as Iarumas got with a class change.

I know, these two aren't exactly that big a deal since they aren't collab, but still it is a bit upsetting. Like, their skills aren't even used. I personally love Yoizou and even I barely use Running Flame. People really don't use these skills, I just realized Blazing Resplendence got a big error (It cancels out stances and type-bearers, which it didn't back when he was released. Flame-bearer canceling is only for Running Flame, after three uses.) and apperantly no one realized it yet, I think. (I submitted the inquiry)

Anyways, what I am saying is, some advs need upgrades. Personally, I think Yoizou's wouldn't be half bad if we can just use Running Inferno without 'usable once per battle' thing. Like, it's not going to be OP if they do.

Also, I think if they are going to give healer cc to Erwin, I wish they give him a counterattack thing? Both his skills are about magic dmg, and yet mages aren't exactly used for that. And it's not like his skill can use surety as Iarumas. I was thinking, since some people use healers front row as they have shields, why not give him a new passive to get a chance to automatically cast Flame of Gluttony if he is attacked? That way he can both use his active and passive!

I am just throwing ideas, since I was a little annoyed by how some advs are treated, so I am not saying these are good ideas or anything. I just want upgrades, you know? Just saying there are ways to improve them without changing their whole skillset, but reusing them.

I'm new here so I’m quite confused about the stats after playing for a while and checking both Japanese sources and Global.

Here’s what I’m trying to understand:

What exactly is the difference between Surety and Critical Hit in this game?

When Sure Hit triggers, it shows “Surety”

Sometimes I also see “Critical” pop up

Are they the same thing or completely different systems?

Does Ranger benefit from Surety?

Japanese guides seem to say Ranger should prioritize Accuracy because of the Sniper passive

But some Global players say Surety is good for any physical damage dealer (including Ranger)

I have a Yoichinoyumi +20 with these blessings:

ATK +39

ACC +30

SUR +15

ATK +23%

I originally had ASPD and accidentally changed it to Surety.

Is this still a good roll for Ranger, or should I remake it?

Would appreciate any clarification from people who understand the mechanics well (especially if you’ve checked Japanese sources).

I just pulled a Greedy Saitness Marianne with potential inherit and I'm torn between merging her with my regular Marianne or giving my Camille the Way of the Priest skill. Before I make that decision, can anyone affirm whether Way of the Priest will reduce the cost of healer class spells, namely spells like Treatment and Eddying Mist of Reactive Healing and such? Thanks.
