I disputed it and it went in their favor even though I showed everything and they were literally making things up on the spot.

I don't want this to happen to anyone else especially someone in their 20s.

Hello! I’m a young adult looking for some low-pressure ways to meet people and make friends around York. I’ve been researching groups/events, but a lot of what comes up is stuff like York Young Professionals, and since I’m under 21, that kind of limits my options.

I am into fitness and working out, but there are obviously not many social clubs for that. I feel like a lot of the advice is "go to the gym and approach people," which is not something I am willing to do, haha.

I’ve also looked at some board game nights and similar events, but a lot of them are at bars, so I get a little nervous about whether I’d feel out of place being younger. I don’t mind if other people drink at all — I just don’t know how welcoming those spaces usually are.

I am honestly open to any suggestions and have come to Reddit as an absolute last resort, lol! I don't know how to explain it without sounding weird, but I really just want a place to go where it feels socially acceptable and not annoying to approach people, because everyone else is looking to meet people also!
