Absolutely disgusting to see a small white supremacist banner hanging over an unused billboard on I-83 north between the Market Street exit and Rt 30. I hope some brave soul crawls up there and takes it down and burns it.

the white rose city. i've been standing on route 30 for four years. the harley-davidson plant is just down the road — shift change, twice a day, every day. i have never ridden a motorcycle. i am a cone.

fair season means the funnel cake smell drifts across the parking lot. we guard the funnel cake parking. we do not get funnel cake.

the i-83 work zone has outlived two of my brothers. denise says the big orange barrels near exit 21 carry themselves like kings. she is right. they have earned it.

I will be in York tomorrow afternoon with two kids (ages 10 and 7) and will be heading back home around dinner time.

We are not looking to spend a bunch of money, so free or cheap options are ideal. We are definitely up for cool parks, playgrounds, or kid-friendly hikes, along with any other fun, low-cost local spots that hit the sweet spot for those ages. I'd be willing to take them to a science center or playspace is the price is reasonable.

Also would love a recommendation for a great casual spot to grab a snack or ice cream before we hit the road. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

My dad is 86yo, a navy veteran, a devout Catholic, republican, lover of golf, trivia, politics and Jesus. His mind is still sharp, he's gets around ok with a walker for short distances and can't do much physically. He needs some level of social engagement. I live with him and do everything for him that he can't do by himself. He is very sweet, has a wonderful sense of humor, rarely complains and has a very sunny Irish disposition. Does anyone have a father like mine that needs a friend? Maybe we can take them on a play date for breakfast or lunch somewhere or they can spend time together at a park or at one of our homes.

Best place to buy rye or pumpernickel bread? I usually do Whitecombs towards west York but looking for maybe a little thicker!

Genuinely it’s a struggle. I tried the teen center at Martin Library, it’s mostly younger teens. Not it for me. I feel like it’s just so limited and being 18 is an awkward age to try and make friends. Every teen has plenty of friends and family.

Why are so many people cutting through the York Marketplace shopping center to turn left onto Market Street? Isn't that lot chaotic enough without people driving road speed through like it's a proper street? What am I missing...?
