Panning Powders is the bane of my existence. It’s so crazy how the packaging of these products are not intended to hold up for the full time it takes to use a powder, which is forever and a day. (Though I admit the wet and wild highlighter I’ve had since high school is an extreme case.) Also, powder and cream blush duos should not be equal amounts of each. It should bring a lot more cream than powder so they last a more equal amount of uses. I sincerely think these products are designed to be thrown away before they are completely used up. It’s a shame. Anyways, nothing a little depotting and magnetic palette can’t fix. I shall persist.

Cool tones, but make it fun. Inspired by the recent Natasha Denona palette. Tons of shades from Pat McGrath and some frakenshadows.

I'm reworking all of my makeup into color stories instead of buying new stuff. This is Natasha denona eyeshadow, Mac eyeshadow, and Made by Mitchell cream eyeshadow.

The tiny eyeshadows on the bottom are repressed by me with a 2,000 lb arbor press into watercolor tins.

I've just duped the new Pat Mcgrath eyeshadow quads.

Except for the yellow, nothing is new.

The blue metallic is in the decadence and the green in petalmorphosis (I used VR Emerald here as I don't have that one), the rest can be found in the older megas and dr2.

I was at first really excited, but the yellow has a "not safe for the eye area" and I barely touched my Denona Sunset yellow, the blues... I rarely wear them and I'm fine with what I have. The green did excite me, as I still hope for a green muddy swampy mothership like Midnight sun, just a bit lighter, desaturated. But nah... It looks like the green from Petalmorphosis and that's too blueish for me.

It looks like Pat released, again, old colours in the new formula.

So I'm quite happy to use what I already have and will try recreating the promo looks.

I have just finished depotting all of my eyeshadows and I’m so happy that I can see everything I have and start to use them up. I placed them in large clear front magnetic cases and it’s great. However now I’m realizing I would like something smaller for when I’m traveling or doing makeup in the car. The idea is to also depot my blush and bronzer to simplify my travel makeup bag. I’ve seen the Trish McEvoy wardrobing palette and it will do the job but it’s plastic and I was hoping to find something a little more lux or at least unique. Curious if anyone has seen anything similar? I’m open to vintage palettes as well but it seems like most of them will only hold a single blush or powder.
My dream palette is the aruric cosmetics mirage shift one but alas they are going out of business and they no longer have daybreak in stock. It looks like no one is selling their empty palettes 😭

I wanted a travel lip palette real bad, but none of them were what I wanted. They were either too expensive, old and discontinued, or had colors I didn’t want. So I found this old Urban Decay lip palette (that was a collab with one of my FAVORITE illustrators!!!) and removed the old lipstick and filled it with what I already had. I’m so happy that it came with the original lip brush because it is fantastic and perfect for traveling!
