Thoughts on Toplane Galio?

I used to play Galio mid some seasons ago, but I migrated from midlane to toplane in January. I never had the bravery to pick him toplane, but today I was against f*cking Malzahar top and 3 other AP in my promotion so I picked Galio. It was the best and funniest match I've ever played. It's probably because I was facing a mage and not a real toplaner, plus we had Nocturne, but I love Galio's game design.

Is Galio top a real thing? Any tips and tricks on matchups and builds?

So... what if our role quest had a negative progression bonus if the champion is ranged?

Similar to how Death's Dance or Grasp behave differently depending on whether your champion is melee or ranged, what if ranged characters had a, let's say, 40% passive role quest penalty?

I know Teemo, Kennen, Quinn and Jayce, which are considered legitimate toplaners, would stop being viable in our role. But all four of them have healthy matchups elsewhere, whether that's midlane or jungle (except Kennen jungle, of course).

On the other hand, the recent season has made a lot of toplaners quit the role. Where will the Renekton mains go? Most of midlane matchups are terrible for him.

Are Camille players forced to be supports forever? Will they be the next Maokai?

Will Nasus players even be able to reach 20 CS in the first five minutes after the upcoming jungle nerfs? Or will they suffer the same fate Shen did a few months ago?

Why is Sion forced to go lethality in order to have a chance to oneshot ranged characters? He is supposed to be good as a weakside tank, but he can't get any stacks if he is not allowed to farm

The thing I'm trying to say is that we've already given up too much. We're forced to swap to completely different roles, adopt builds that go against our champions' identities, leave some of our favorite picks behind, or settle for an incredibly boring playstyle dictated by an unhealthy meta

And this is not for toplaners only. We've all seen midlaners or botlaners complaining about tanks and bruisers in their lanes. Well, tanks and bruisers end up there because they can't get a single CS in an isolated 1v1 in a long lane against a ranged champion.

The core issue here is ranged toplaners ruining the experience of tanks and bruisers in the toplane. Just a thought. What do you think? There should be any sort of system penalty to ranged toplaners?

So I accidentally first-timed Locke on Ranked... Guys, I've found my new favorite character!

Even though I lost, it was fun as hell

I constantly get ganked by 3 or 4 people while splitpushing. What the hell should I do??

Before someone says it: Yes, my team is cognitively unable to push the other two lanes.

I honestly don't know what to do. I generally finish my lanephase even or a bit ahead, but it seems like the enemy team's AI is programmed to copy my movement command whenever i right click in a sidelane. It's impossible. I can buy 2 pinkwards every recall and make sure to ward everything, but they match me in groups of 3 or 4. Even if I don't die, I can't reach their tower either!

I know I'm supposed to TP away and have presence on the rest of the map when that happens, but my teammates push until the middle of the lane, then they reset and push til half the lane again. That being said, everytime I TP away from my lane, my turrets get completely demolished because my other laners don't match the enemy push. I may take a some plates, but they take my whole base!

I don't know what to do. I'm supposed to play Yorick?
