Do u think Locke will turn into a niche champion or a popular one within the years?

akshan otp here, trying to learn locke. the late game just seems so hard. i get fed all the time and i just sell in team fights and i know thats on me bc i have all the gold. it’s just so much easier on akshan bc u just bait ur team and clean up the fight, or bait ur team and just out play ur way to a clean up. locke i think im doing it wrong. so here are my questions
do look for a multi person ult always or is just 1 or 2 fine?
before i engage with an e reset, should i just chase or kite a bit so i have my q up?
should i be ratting more before objs to get picks or is it too risky on this champ? i do this all the time on akshan but its just so easy to get in and out without being at risk of blowing up. maybe i can do the same thing on locke and its just a skill issue but if so, how should i play it?
hardstuck d3-2 so try to give reasonable advice that is would be capable of pls haha
My friend told me this is the best kill stealer in the game because you just throw R and clean up
Does this mean I will consistently be ahead in gold? Can I hyper carry with this gold?
I was debating a silly off meta build so I looked up the actual maths since I never played Locke, what I found was crazy.
If we assume you on average with the full burst ap build land 2 nails (which you do)
That's about 1200 damage of 750 ap from stats only after consuming nails.
Now did you ever think how much you can drop out of those 750 ap full build, land all 3 nails and still do the same damage? 350.
That's fuckinf absurd like a full build Locke landing 2 nails is like a 3 items Locke landing 3?
The maths was so absurd that it had me reminding myself that i got 30/60 in highschool and that I am using stats from a crappy probably outdated site
But it it's true that means Locke can prioritise having 2 whole slots of utility/defensive items and lands 3 nails to still burst
Now you'd say "why'd he suddenly be able to land all 3 nails you stupid silver"
That's why I am here now chat, gunblade, Rylais, exhaust, smite, iceborn gauntlet (wtf), etc..
Any utility that gives a bit of damage and slow or a bit of survivability and slow is potentially a better investment??
But Locke is an assassin what is this fucking r***** of an OP talking about. Gosh these silvers...
Got a pentakill 3 games ago and another this past game. 4 man ult. This champ is disgusting when fed I ended the game 26/1/2. Was just running around the entire game murdering everyone. Highly recommend this champ to hard carry out of low elo. Currently in G3.
Guys hear me out
I wanna try to start building Rylais instead of zhonya's
It's just pure evil and I love it
People hate the 25% slow so why not make it 55%
Also it would almost guarantee 3 Q's landed and survivability isn't bad because Locke is a freak and you will now be able to turn around, Q once and create distance in case you are getting changed
I am pisslow and I forget to press zhonya's like every single game so what do you think?
If zhonya's is good maybe you could suggest I replace another item with Rylais? Just as a Q3 guarantee ragebait off meta build?
Does this guy stream? I tried to watch some of his vods but riot just removed it :)))
I would like to know how he makes it work
i was around almost granfmaster back in s13 then i quit because i had to do some research that was time consuming i dont care about climbing but i also wanna learn the game and keep gettng better how good is locke top
Not the flashiest pentakill I was pretty fed this game and ended 19/3/4. I was p4 demoted to s3 and have been maining Locke to climb back up to plat and this guy carries harder than any other champ I play and he's a lot of fun. Hopefully this is the first of many.
