Used MSI Claw 8 AI+ A2VM Forza Horizon 6 / Cyberpunk performance and battery

Is anyone playing the above on your device on medium/high or better? Can you share the settings you use in the game and the battery life on the latest drivers?

I am looking to pick one up used for around USD$771 (vs US$1095 new) or the 2TB version (US$837 vs US$1158 new) for a trip and also hunt down a cheap docking station.

Main use is for flights (3 hrs) and also to dock and use at the destination with a wireless controller on a TV for brief stints.

Is this worth the buy? I can't find a single EX AI+ CG3EM I can try and at US$1950 I am definitely not going to be able to afford that.

If either is worth getting then what should I be on the look out for with the used options?

What do you use to analyze slow startup after windows update?

So we had 24H2 take over machines that had 23H2 and we're running into a few really frustrating issues.

  1. Lenovo laptops suffering from high CPU usage and stuttering and burning up anyone who is using it on their laps. Start menus lagging (like search is screwed)
  2. Desktops which have memory leaks hitting 100% memory usage before disk paging kicks in and takes out the machine as it freezes up

I tried latest firmware, drivers, etc and yielded nothing. The only common thread is all the stuff is 12th gen hardware or newer but only the laptops have P and E core while the desktops are P only.

Has anyone faced this or got any recommended methods to identify the faulty bit?

Also noticed the PC gets stuck at "please wait" for almost double the time on power up when on the domain network.

Travel PC Build Ideas

I might need to travel for a bit and am looking to do an ITX build I can stuff into my Thule Subterra 2 backpack together with my X1 work laptop and a 14" 4K monitor that I use with my laptop anyway.

Given that I want to play games like FH6 maxxed out and also other games, can anyone suggest a build that will fit comfortably and let me go through airports with ease? Not wanting to spend too much on this build but it's got to be good enough to play other games including Cyberpunk and such. GPU might get upgraded down the road but hope the case fits everything I need. Liquid cooling might be a no go because of weight and hand carry restrictions.

If anyone wants to share your build, please do as I'm looking for ideas. Trying figure out what will fit within the bag while not weighing so much that the bag snap or airlines don't allow it.

So with the S90H coming out, a lot of stores locally are clearing inventory. After poking around I found what should be a good deal at $1240USD (converted from local) for 55" S90F (QA55S90FAJ...) which includes the B450F soundbar. If without the soundbar it would be $1215USD.

I also have an option for a 48" version of the S90F (QA48S90FAE...) for $885USD (converted) with the same sound bar or $860USD (converted) without the soundbar. But when I tested both TVs, the bass is completely non existent on the 48" panel and I could not get the 48" panel to sound anywhere near the same as the 55" panel when both have no soundbar.

I'm mainly looking at this to solve my desk predicament and prepare to play Forza Horizon 6 and other racing games/sims. My current racing seat when assembled is about 1.4m in length so I would be sitting 1.5m away from the screen to play. The sofa is behind that and would bring it in at 2.3m for movies and such. The TV will be placed on a TV console.

GPU is a 5070Ti and currently the HDMI and one DP port is occupied so I do need to get a new set of cables.

So my questions are:

- Other than pricing, does the 48" panel actually make any sense as an option?
- If using the 55" is there anything I need to watch out for?
- Given the soundbar is free (almost), is there any reason not to get it?
- Does anyone have good recommendations for a DP+USB hub over LAN to HDMI converter
