Update on the $70 eBay caiman boots

Hey guys, just wanted to share a quick update on the caiman boots I picked up on eBay for 70 bucks. I finally finished working on them and the results turned out pretty good.
First, I gave them a good wash with coconut soap and a horsehair brush. After they dried, I applied 3 layers of Bickmore Exotic conditioner, waiting 12 hours between each coat to make sure the leather was thoroughly hydrated first. Next, I tackled the scale that was completely detached from the leather—I glued it back down with cobbler's cement and put some weight on top. Finally, I finished it off with Bickmore Black Cream Polish and a good buff.
The leather is super soft now, and even though you can still see the crack where it split, the scale doesn't move at all anymore. The shine looks nice in the sun, definitely worth the $70. You can see how they look now

Cracked and lifted scale on caiman boot - Need repair advice

Hey guys, just scored these Corral Circle G caiman boots from an eBay auction for $70. They are old stock and arrived super dry. Straight out of the box, a scale right below the stitching was already cracked and lifted (I haven't even worn them yet). I have Bickmore Exotic spray and Bickmore Black cream on the way. How can I fix this? Should I use a specific leather glue after hydrating it? Any tips would be awesome. Thanks!
