Please Help - Bahraini Citizen Stuck Abroad

I'm a Bahraini citizen who has been living abroad for many years.

I left Bahrain with a valid passport and CPR. While I was away, the country transitioned to a new digital ID system. When my CPR expired, I wasn't there to get the new digital ID. So I got left behind. Still a citizen, but invisible to the new system.

I cannot get an eKey. I cannot use the electronic passport renewal system. My CPR and passport are now expired and the old format is no longer used.

I was in contact with someone at the ministry in Bahrain who was trying to help, but they have gone silent and I have not been able to get a response from them.

I have tried calling the embassy and consulate hundreds of times. No one answers.

My question is: Has anyone successfully renewed a Bahraini passport from abroad in this specific situation (expired passport and CPR, no digital ID, no eKey?) Is there a specific office or person who handles "legacy cases" or citizens who fell through the cracks during the transition?

If you know anything (a name, a phone number, an email address, a process) please share it. I am out of options and running out of time and money.

Thank you for reading.

I'm in a Crisis and Reddit Wants Me to Post Cat Photos First

Okay, so I'm brand new. Shiny and all ✨ and I'm frustrated by the useless karma system here!!!

Let me get this straight... in order for me to be able to post in subs I'm interested in, I have to have 100s if not 1000s of karma. And to get karma, I have to post???

Some say comment first to collect karma, then post in subs that don't require karma (whether you're interested in them or not), AND THEN you will be able to say what you came here to say.

You think okay fine, I'll run around Reddit like a headless chicken, comment on things that don't interest me, then make posts that mean absolutely nothing to me.. don't worry, I'll make it look genuine.

But wait.... not so fast.

The comment karma and the post karma are two different things. Thaaaaaat's right 😈 and you thought you'd get away with it huh? No no no. You need POST karma in order to post.

Not to worry, there is a list of useless subs that you can post in with low and even no karma. Nothing that interests you really, but creating shallow posts and leaving forced comments, is the only way to go.

Just make sure whatever you post is "cute". You don't want to skip the "cute". Humanity is in crisis, but "cute" comes first. Those are the ones that get attention. Can you blame them? I mean... It's cute!

Meow 🐱

Is it just me, or is this karma system counter productive and a huge waste of time to those who genuinely want to participate and create meaningful posts and a supportive community?

Because guess what? With my difficult life situation... and the fact that I'm not safe... the last thing I want to do is "study" Reddit. Or jump through hoops just to post and say: "HELP, I don't know what to do."

But hey, at least we have "cute"". 🤷‍♂️

Learning to Flair

I've been wondering how everyone adds these colorful bits in their posts! They are called 'flairs' eh! I'm not sure how they say it though... "To flair"? "To make a flair"? "To add a flair"?

How long does it typically take for a new account to build enough karma to post in support subs?

I'm a newbie! I joined yesterday. Hi all 👋

I'm in a difficult personal situation and I'm hoping to post in support communities, because I could really use some advice. And given the difficulties I went through, I have a lot to offer to others too.

I know those subs often have karma requirements. About how much karma do I need, and how long does it typically take to get there with consistent, good faith participation?

I'm in a bit of a rush due to my circumstances. Time is short, so any advice on accelerating the process (without breaking rules) would mean a lot.

Thank you for your honesty and help.
