Any tips on removing and replacing the faux leather on my vintage sewing machine?

Recently got this baby for $5. I'm working on getting it cleaned up but not sure what to do about the paper chipping away at the base?

Should I try removing it or is there a way to restore it?
Looks to be all wood underneath the faux leather paper.

Recently heard "Choosin Texas" by Ella Langley and looking for pedal Steel Guitar heavy recommendations

Hello, 35yr old here grew up listening to George Strait, Garth, Brooks & Dunn, Alan Jackson, etc

I personally do not like the sound of modern country music but I recently heard "Choosin Texas" by Ella Langley and the melancholy whine of the steel guitar in it is so good.

I'm looking for reccomendations of other artists that have prominent slow sad steel guitar sounds - "Stand by your man" by Tammy Wynette comes to mind, or even "Miami" by Keith Whitley.

Like I mentioned I'm pretty well versed in 90s country so would love to get suggestions on some older music, especially women artists. I'm also open to newer stuff if it has the sound I'm describing, like "How far will we take it" by Orville Peck and Noah Cyrus type sound. Thanks in advance!

Looking for advice on building from scratch or upgrading an existing PC (total noob)

I'm sure people ask this a lot but I'm interested in starting a gaming PC build. I really just need to seamlessly be able to stream on OBS while playing games like Sims 4, Dead by Daylight, etc.

Budget: I have 1k to spend but would prefer to keep it closer to $500

I am knowledgeable about ram, storage, and graphics cards - I need to do more research on processors and cooling, am I missing anything else?

Basically wondering with what I'm trying to do with my PC and trying to keep it closer to $500: is it better to try and find a cheap prebuilt PC that I can upgrade, or best to just start from scratch?

How do y'all survive the workplace as an HSP?

I've recently taken a leave of absence because the carelessness and mean spirited behavior of upper management has beaten me down. I'm due to return soon and despite seeking therapy I feel completely unguarded and vulnerable. I naturally care so much about everything that I drive myself crazy with the operations issues at work and how people react to them. I don't want to be completely checked out but I struggle to find a middle ground.

Looking for help IDing this machine and some advice!

I got this machine for $5 recently and am excited to try it out but I want to find a manual or instructional video first so I don't wreck it. Can anyone identify the model from the photos?

I have very limited sewing experience, I'm completely self taught and have just been doing very simple single stitch stuff on an old JC Penney machine (see last picture). I've had a lot of issues with the JC Penney machine not tensioning correctly and can't sew anything thick like denim etc. Am I likely to have better luck sewing jackets, quilts, etc with this green machine? Sorry for the newbie questions, thanks in advance!
