Hello, I have always filed through netfile close to the end of tax deadline every year to ensure all my slips are alreeady reported with CRA. I have never had any issue until last year, apparently one slip that was issued by Scotiabank in January 2025 didn't get posted until May 2025 in CRA, which didn't end up being included in my 2024 return and was just reassessed today. Yes I have learned my lesson not to blindly assume all slips are reported just because i'm filing close to end of April, but was 2024 the year when things were backed up and delayed at the CRA? The reassessment is broken down into changes to tax payable, penalties, and arrears interest. I obviously have no issue w taxes payable, but the penalties and arrears interest kind of sting. just wondering if it’s worth begging CRA before paying the full amount.. Thanks.

I saw that Made In is having a sale right now which brings down their stainless set to $820+tax (CAD), vs Meyer from Canadian Costco going for $300+tax. The variety is a little different, but not sure if extra $500 is worth it for Made In (5 ply, full clad vs disk bottom of Meyer). I am willing to splurge for pans that will last a long time, but I'm not sure if Made In is actually of good quality, or largely hype. Thanks for any tips/advice
someone on this sub yesterday told me apple watch sleep tracking was good, so i dusted off my AW series 4 from 2018, which i hadn’t touched in years due to battery lasting not even a full day. i figured it’s good enough to last one night so i wore it along w fitbit air i received yesterday on the other wrist.
at first glance, i’m a bit disappointed. fitbit air seems to be less accurate in many respects vs an 8yr old watch, e.g. sleep duration of 5:44hrs vs 5:13 AW, 3 mins of awake stage vs 32 mins AW (when i woke up so many times after 4am last night), and deep stage starting at 12:30am when i fell asleep at 12:20am vs AW 1:00am. i have sleep issues and sleep tracking is a priority for me, got a sleep study twice, which noted my frequent waking up/ hyperarousal issue among others, so tbh i’m a bit unsure about keeping this. i still like minimalistic form factor and the screenless aspect, and yes this is just one night of sleep but i’m not impressed esp compared to my 8 year old AW. btw i know the duration was off w fitbit as i use a cpap machine which also displays my sleep duration (close to AW while fitbit was too optimistic, as much as id like to side with fitbit since it said i slept more and gave me a “fair” score vs AW’s “low”).
p.s. i have been trying fitbit premium with inspire 3 until last night when i wore fitbit air to sleep instead. the headline for today's sleep was "your consistency is your superpower: your sleep schedule is incredibly stable, with bedtimes only shifting by a few minutes each night." my usual bedtime is 11:30 but i went to bed at 12:20 last night.
don’t mind my dirty screen but HR at least for me is a little higher compared to my Garmin (61 vs 64). after i moved around for a bit Garmin was at 71 and Air at 77. someone else can test it out and get a totally opposite result so it prob doesn’t mean anything in the grand scheme of things, tbh i only got this bc i am a mechanical watch kind of girl and i can finally wear my real watch with the band as opposed to wearing two watches and looking ridiculous
does anyone have tips on how i can compare this with my inspire 3? should i reset inspire 3 and connect it to another gmail account? im most curious about whether there is improvement to tracking or it’s just cosmetic change mostly.
hello!! thanks to you wonderful people who were so helpful yesterday i managed to cut the power, shut water off and remove the drain hose and also the steel water line (i was so nervous that i didn’t shut water off properly but thankfully it was just a few drops!!). i thought my dishwasher was hardwired bc i saw a metal box looking thing under the sink near the pipe, but to my surprise there was an outlet at the back with the dishwasher cable looking like a standard plug. does this mean that i don’t need to buy a “junction box” separately as was recommended when i was buying my new dishwasher (and i did).
secondly, when i removed the drain hose there was unpleasant smell, i temporarily covered it with foil as i don’t have a stopper. is it ok to leave that area exposed like that for a few days until the professional comes and installs the new one, can i use my faucet… the water valve is shut off but also exposed and not capped, is that also ok? i tried to keep the old drain hose plugged but it doesn’t want to detach itself from the old dishwasher, i tried to cut it and residual drain hose water came splashing out everywhere so i’m not sure if that was a good idea.. thanks again for your help really appreciate it!

hello, i am getting a new dishwasher delivered tomorrow and it includes a haul away service (i live in an apartment complex), but i must disconnect the appliance before they haul it away. of course i will be calling a professional to install the new dishwasher when it comes as i have no idea what i am doing, but is disconnecting something that i may be able to attempt myself so that the guys can haul it away? i am mostly worried about correctly turning off the water and disconnecting the steel water line, and also not sure how to disconnect the drain hose (do i just need a screw driver for that one?). there is also a sticker inside the cabinet that says the main water line shut off is in the bathroom, do i have to do something about that too, or can i ensure water is shut off from a part shown in the pic? any help appreciated.. thank you :/
