Best single “one-stop shop” book/resource for passing the Series 65?

If you had to pick one book or resource to study end-to-end and be ready to pass, what would it be?

Not looking to piece together courses, YouTube, etc. Just a solid one-stop option with clear explanations and enough practice questions to know I’m ready.

OpenRCT2: How do I make all custom/downloaded objects available to me in any scenario?

In OpenRCT2, /i've downloaded several scenarios and custom objects (rides, shops, scenery, etc.) from several sources and saved the files in my Documents/OpenRCT2/(objects,saves,scenarios) folders.

  1. In order to make all of these objects available in any scenario, do I have to open the Golden Shovel menu > Object Selection > check each and every one individually? Is there a faster way to do this (like a Select All option) to select them all at once?
  2. Do I have to open a downloaded scenario in-game first before its custom objects are available in the Object Selection menu?

Thanks, all!

Anywhere to download new rides, tracks, shops, and scenery?

Just discovered OpenRCT2, and it's restarted my old RCT2 obsession. Loving this so far, it's incredible work...

Is there anywhere we can still download new rides, tracks, shops, and scenery to add to it? Much of what I've found mostly sits on dated forums and dead links. Thanks!

Can't load scenarios with PLAN mod ships

https://preview.redd.it/wtx9k2wj3meh1.jpg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d436a40a82dd926fd2bc64a8645e8daeca337c81

For some reason, these PLAN mod ships can be loaded in the Encyclopedia, but whenever they are added to a scenario, this is the error I get whenever I load those scenarios. The game freezes right there and I have to force-close SP.

I can load the ships in the Encyclopedia just fine. It's only for actually playing them in-game. This issue has been going on for a couple months, but only for these ships, no others, and I don't see anyone else reporting this error with them.

For reference, these are the mods I'm talking about:

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Can ships be configured to fire only one interceptor missile at a time?

Is there any way to configure ships so they launch only one missile at a time against each incoming threat, such as enemy missiles, aircraft, or other targets? Either through any in-game settings or changes to the game's configuration or .ini files.

Trying to prevent ships from firing multiple defensive missiles at the same target when a single interceptor is often enough. I've seen doctrine referenced as a reason why multiple interceptors are fired per target, but when my strike groups (1) are up against more modern ships (like workshop mod ships) with higher capacity VLS magazines and longer ranges than my missiles and (2) have very high accuracy and most always intercept on the first interceptor, my arsenal gets nearly depleted from air defense before I even have a chance to attack.

How can I manually increase my available Points in Task Force Mode?

I’m trying to test different scenarios in Task Force Mode using larger and more varied fleets than the default Points limit allows.

Is there a .ini file, save value, config setting, etc. that can be edited to manually change the number of available Points?

If anyone knows where the right values are stored or has a reliable method for changing it, I’d appreciate the details...

Anyone here playing GZW on a laptop RTX 5060 / 5070 / 5070 Ti with 32GB RAM? What FPS are you getting?

Trying to get real-world feedback before buying a gaming laptop.

Is anyone here playing GZW on a laptop with one of these GPUs:

  • RTX 5060
  • RTX 5070
  • RTX 5070 Ti

And with 32GB RAM?

I’m trying to figure out whether this class of laptop can realistically handle GZW on High settings at around ~50–60 FPS in actual play, not just in ideal conditions. I’d really appreciate hearing how it runs for you, mainly whether I can get a laptop at this spec point to play GZW at 1080p or 1440p on at least High settings and what kind of FPS I might actually see, with or without DLSS or Frame Gen if they would help.

Would NATO allies actually join a U.S.–China war, and under what circumstances

I’m interested in getting the community’s take on how NATO allies would likely respond if the United States and China ended up in a direct military conflict.

I’m not asking whether NATO “should” join, but whether it realistically would, and under what conditions.

A few scenarios I’m trying to think through:

  1. China attacks first against the U.S. homeland

If China struck the continental United States, would this clearly trigger Article 5? Would NATO allies be legally obligated to assist, and would that assistance likely include combat forces or something more limited?

  1. China attacks U.S. forces in the Indo-Pacific

If Chinese forces attacked U.S. ships, aircraft, bases, or personnel around Taiwan, the South China Sea, Guam, Japan, the Philippines, or elsewhere in the Pacific, would NATO obligations apply at all? Or would this fall outside NATO’s geographic scope?

  1. The U.S. strikes first

If the United States initiated military action against China, for example in response to a Taiwan crisis or Chinese blockade, would NATO allies have any treaty obligation to join? Even without a legal obligation, which allies might politically support the U.S., and which would likely stay out?

  1. China retaliates against NATO territory or assets

If China responded to U.S. action by cyberattacking, striking, or sabotaging infrastructure inside Europe or North America, could that bring NATO into the conflict? How high would the threshold need to be?

  1. Capability vs. willingness

Even if some NATO allies wanted to help, how much could they actually contribute militarily in an Indo-Pacific war? Would this mostly be intelligence, logistics, naval deployments, sanctions, cyber support, munitions, basing, and backfilling U.S. commitments in Europe? Or could countries like the UK, France, Canada, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, or the Nordics realistically contribute meaningful forces?

My current understanding is that NATO’s Article 5 obligation is not automatic in every U.S. war, and that geography matters a lot. An attack on the continental U.S. seems very different from an attack on U.S. forces in the Western Pacific. I’m also assuming that even when Article 5 applies, each ally still has discretion over what kind of assistance it provides.

So, ultimately:

In a U.S.–China conflict, what are the most realistic NATO ally responses across the legal, political, and military dimensions? Who would likely join, who would support indirectly, who would avoid involvement, and what circumstances would change that?
