ncspot spotify client

Hey guys, does anyone here have ncspot running on 8.0 #83 amd64? Is there anything in particular I should be aware of?

It's not working for me, and I won't have time to take a closer look at it until the weekend.

TIA.

It's my daily driver, T14 Gen5 AMD

Psion Organiser II LZ

Rediscovered my Psion Organiser after 40 years, new battery fitted. Thrilled it's working....now what to do with it? Is a Comms cable worth investing in?

Hello, dear friend. And have a peaceful final journey.

I set this up years ago for a nonprofit NGO. The NGO is closing the branch and asked me if I could securely delete the data; the equipment is scheduled to be scrapped.

What do we have here?

-Digital Equipment Corporation StorageWorks Rack

-IBM P76 17" CRT

-UPS

-DSI surge protector

-2 HP switches for WAN and LAN

-IBM System x3550 M4 firewall running OpenBSD

-IBM xSeries 335 internet radio station running OpenBSD

- IBM System x3650 M3 TimeMachine backup server for macOS clients, address book and calendar sharing, and audio file streaming on the LAN, running FreeBSD

Two HP ProLiant file servers running FreeBSD have already been moved to another location.

Well, I’ll go ahead and pull the plug now. Take care, and thanks for all these years of trouble-free service.

OpenBSD on VAXstation

Neofetch isn’t available for VAX, so I wrote a small vaxfetch by hand.
Running here on a real VAXstation 3100/m76 32MB with OpenBSD 5.8, displayed on a DEC VT220.

Dedicated to everyone who spent years keeping OpenBSD alive on old and unusual hardware.
Puffy belongs on a VAX.

Vacuum Fluorescent Display (VFD) revival

I’ve bought this VFD module from a junkyard almost 15 years ago for only a few bucks. It was taken out from a photocopy machine and was in good condition. Finally found some time to reverse-engineer it, and created its simple schematics. Soldered a Raspberry Pi 2040 Zero board to drive the screen circuit, and created some cool animations to play on it;)
Also 3D printed a holder for it. Next step is changing the module with a Wi-Fi board like ESP32, so it can gather weather data, maybe even my upcoming calendar events.
