What's it like to live in Twickenham or St Margarets?

Hi

My partner (32M) and I (35F) currently live in a 2 bed flat in Earlsfield and looking to upgrade to a min 3 bed house. We love areas like Teddington, Richmond etc but it's outside of our budget.

Our budget is about £1mil which will leave us enough money to do some cosmetic renovations and potentially an extension.

For those who live in this area what's it like? Keen to understand:

* Parts of the area to avoid
* commute into London - does the trains get busy? Is it frequent enough?
* high st and greenery - does it have cafes and things to do around the area?
* is it safe?

We plan to stay in an Airbnb for a few days if we think this might be a decent option.

Thanks in advance!

Recommended area to move in Surrey

Hi

My (36F) and partner (33M) have started to look into Surrey as a potential area to move. I'm sure there's loads of posts out there on this but wanted to see if we can get some initial recommendations to get our research going.

We currently live in Earlsfield and I've lived in Balham and Teddington before but first time thinking a bit further out. Here are some things we are after:

* Easy commute into central London
* Don't have kids yet but good state schools
* Nice high street / village like feel
* Safe and clean
* Min 3 bedroom with option to extend
* Budget about £900k-£1.1mil

People have suggested Weybridge, Esher, Woking etc but keen to hear from people who have or are living there.

Thanks so much!

Teething - 16 weeks

My mini golden doodle is now 16 weeks.
She hasn't lost any of her teeth yet and nothings wobbly. At what age did your puppy start to show signs of loosing teeth?
At what point does it get worse and any tips to manage all of this? (Besides the typical carrots, yaks etc etc)

Thanks!

4 month old behaviours

Hi all

This is the feedback we received from one of our dog sitters and therefore doesn't want to dogsit our puppy. The feedback is consistent with what we experience as well but I'm unsure if this is normal behaviour for a puppy or something we need to be concerned about. She hasn't lost any of her teeth yet (probably will start to soon) and has been walking on the lead in the last 2-3 weeks after her jabs. Would be good to get other people's thoughts.

"I found xx followed tricks on the balcony and in the pen well and seemed responsive to learning. However she really didn’t like me putting her harness on or taking it off and seemed scared every time my hand went above her head. Even when I gave her time to cool down she would continuously bite, and she even drew blood with a bite on my hand one time.

When walking she would walk pretty well and then at some point she would just lunge to bite my leg. She was able to jump very high and it was very hard to get her to calm down. It wasn’t clear what triggered this but it happened on every walk we took. Sometimes I would get her to sit before crossing the street and when I released her with the word go she would lunge for my thigh.

When I came to play with her in the play pen, it wouldn’t be long before she tried to bite me, even if I redirected her with a teething toy."

Thanks!!

Stepping into my first senior leadership role - advice welcome please

Hi all,

I’m about to step into a new, relatively senior corporate role, my first time in a senior leadership position, where I’ll be managing a team of 4 to 5 experienced individuals.

Beyond the usual advice (getting to know the team, listening, building relationships), what are your top tips for starting strong at this level? Anything that you've done that was effective?

I’m keen to build a high performing team, develop strong rapport, and really understand each person’s strengths so I can support their growth.

I’ll admit I’m also a bit conscious of the fact that I’m younger than most of the team (mid 30s). Any advice on establishing yourself as a credible leader in that context would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Puppy pees small ones outside and big ones inside

Hi

My mini golden doodle is 12 weeks. She seems to do small pees when we take her outside and larger ones inside. We take her out at least every 45min to 1 hour, sometimes even more frequently but usually after play, food, sleep.

Inside the house she is inside the pen and this is where she pees.

Are we doing something wrong here?

Hello!

My partner and I are staying in Milos for 6 days.
It's our first time and very excited. We would like local recommendations for food, bars, things to do - we will do some touristy things but would love to explore hidden gems that only locals know about and avoid areas that are a social media hype.

Thanks a lot!!

Hi,

Please could you share recommendations for nice dog friendly bars in London? Ideally around Marylebourne or central London.

Thank you!!
