How to keep the flow of battles in a group of 30 players

I actually run a narrative crusade, with almost 30 players.
Every players have 1 battle per crusade round, and while i did try to do a round every 2 weeks, in fact, it is more 1 per month.

It does slow the crusade quite a bit, but some players have less time and i don't want them to have less battle than others.

But with summer holidays, it will be even harder to plan battle, and we fear a 2 month pause might kill the motivation of some.

So i would like to offer a way to resolve battle for those who can't find a common day to play.

Here's some of the thing i had in mind :
- Auto resolve battle, based on the list, narrative, and opinion of others
- Delegate battle to an ally, let him play your list
- Standby stance : The player will have 2 battles on the next round, might add unfavorable modifiers
- Forfeit battle : might be forced when one of the players is obviously trying to avoid the match, or is the one with no availability. It's a narrative campaign, some battle have bad matchup or missions, and some players don't want to play a losing battle (Player rp is "purge the daemons" so he rush to the hq of 3 chaos players by himself, then complain he got a a 3v1 battle)

What is your optimal battle flow ?
How do you enforce it without penalize casual player ?
What do you think of playing with such game mechanics ?

Ingress move T1

In the new rules, point 20.03 :
"To arrive on the battlefield, each strategic reserves unit must make an ingress move (20.04).
Unless otherwise stated, they can only do so from the second battle round onwards."

I didn't find rules stating that unit starting the battle on the fields (repositioned units 20.02) are eligible to ingress T1, meaning that up and down abilities like the Red terror, the lion, or any stratagem allowing to go in reserve don't allow to ingress T1.

In the same way, reserves and strategic reserves are now the same thing (20.01.01), so no arriving from 6" of the battlefield edge on T1.

This change might also impact enhancement like "for the matter of setting this unit up, consider the round as +1" since such wording change the set up condition, not the ingress.

Am i missing something in the rules ?

Watchers in the dark personality

I'm currently in a narrative crusade, playing a custom chapter. My chapter master is followed by a watcher, and see in him the will of the primarch.

Between game, we all write some lore, and in my lore i would like to use my watcher as a comic relief.

For example, i did land on a planet because the little guy did show some interest in it, and my chapter master saw this as a sign that my chapter fate was to go there.

But, while staying silent, i would like to give him a kind of candid personality, almost goofy : following butterfly in the forest, tripping on his robe, being too short to see above a hand rail etc... (Picture Vivi from ff9)

I want him to be the chapter mascot, while the Astartes Revere and fear him.

So here is my question : What do we know about their behaviour, their personality and their individuality ?
