[Hiring] Part-Time Follow Up Specialist

This is a permanent 100% remote, part-time role (Monday through Thursday, 12 to 16 hours per week) focused on making friendly, natural-sounding post-service check-in calls on the auto shop's behalf. The primary goal is to ensure clients feel valued while gathering concise, well-written updates on the customer experience, repair quality, and vehicle performance.

This isn't a call center role. It's very laid-back and the majority of calls are short and positive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Outbound Check-In Calls: Conduct professional yet conversational phone calls to recent service clients to see how their vehicle is running.
  • Concise Reporting: Document brief, 2-to-3-sentence notes for each call detailing the customer experience, quality of work, and overall vehicle condition.
  • Issue Escalation: Flag any customer concerns or service discrepancies immediately for management review and follow-up.
  • Schedule Maintenance: Assist clients with scheduling future maintenance or addressing unresolved recommendations when appropriate.

Compensation & Hours

  • Schedule: Monday - Thursday (Part-time) - Somewhat flexible schedule as long as calls are completed within US business hours and by the end of the week.
  • Hours: 12 – 16 hours per week
  • Location: 100% Remote
  • Pay Rate: $8.00/hr (USD)

Anti-dividend Propaganda

I’m convinced anti-dividend propaganda is a psyop to keep people tethered to employment for survival.

The working class is the largest tax base. You can look this up yourself, it’s public data published by the US Treasury at fiscaldata.treasury.gov

53% of the tax base is derived from individual income. Yeah, this does include investment income, but our taxes on capital gains can be anywhere from 0% for a normal income (0-$49450 for single filer), 15% if you’re doing well (49451-545k), and max 20% if you’re doing very well (545k+).

Also, 32% is FICA taxes, which you only have if you’re working class.

Basically, if I make $49k/yr in dividends, I’m not paying any taxes. I can easily live on $20k/yr and keep growing, which doesn’t require a lot of investment. A non-dividend investor NEEDS to keep working. They don’t have the option to stop.

I’m modeling some FIRE scenarios and it seems like for longer than 30 years (trinity study) you might actually need 28-30x annual expenses. Is anyone diving in that deep or just pulling the trigger at 25x?

Thanks!

Edit: I’m looking at a 40-45+ year retirement
