The last time Texas won three in a row was against John Blake's awful 97 and 98 seasons, then Stoops first year.
They have won two in a row thrice, 05 06, 08 09, and the prior two seasons ( 24 25).
Meanwhile OU had 5 (00 through 04), 3 (10 through 12), and 4 (2018 Big 12 title game through 21).
Despite being a fan of the character, I don't think I ever gave this title a chance.
The Hawks kept Trae Young.
And signed Russ as backup PG.
I'd love Thunder first and foremost of course, and I'd root for Thunder over Hawks in an amazing hypothetical NBA finals, but man, I'd be so vested in the Hawks in such a scenario with Russ, Trae, Buddy, dorture chamber, basketball savior.
And then think it the Hawks had some acquired Stevo and signed Al Horford (I loved Al before he almost signed with us in 2016...and when he drank a cup of coffee with us in 20-21) to retire with his team...a team of all those guys plus Jalen Johnson and Shai's cousin...man. Easiest #2 ever.
