Yeah Vendetta has to be controlling my queues at this point because I queued into ranked deciding I wanted to play doomfist after taking a break from him for a long while and tell me why I played three different orisa one tricks. Not only that, but orisa players that only use their cooldowns to hunt me down. Not only that, but 3 Ana players as well. Not only that, the last game I played was Ana, orisa, zen, junkrat. And they were all talking shit in match chat and saying I don’t know how to play the game even they they can literally click two buttons and end the fight in two seconds if I don’t play the most perfect game of overwatch to ever be played in the history of this planet.

Seriously doom needs some changes. I love playing his current iteration, but the problem is that it doesn’t fit the game. Like the fact that I can be so easily countered by emerald players that think they are playing rock paper scissors is baffling. Doom needs some changes, rework, buff, something to make him actually playable. It makes me sad to see the state of him currently, as he is one of the most fun characters to play in any game that I have ever played.

For context, I have a 75 hz, 2,560/1,440 scepter monitor for gaming. I bought it years ago and has been a pain in the butt for me. I play a lot of valorant, and I have had the problem of people peeking me and killing me before I see them on top of having those tear effects that make it hard to see what is going on. I ordered a new monitor that is 1920/1080 by Oled that has a 240hz refresh rate. I have a few questions about how much of a difference I will see after switching monitors. Btw, I am not very educated on pc hardware and all of the really complicated stuff that goes along with it, so please try and simplify because I am an idiot and uneducated. Thanks Reddit :)

1. I have had a hard time seeing what is going on most of the time when playing games. How much will the new monitor help?
2. I have also had a hard time adjusting to targets and tracking them. My thinking is that with a higher refresh rate I can be more accurate. How

Here are my thoughts about the most likely orgs to join the owcs per region, plus some that I don’t think will join and why.

NA: likely to join…..
-Cloud 9
-NRG Shock
-Flyquest

Why: NRG and cloud 9 have either been rumored to return or have expressed interest in joining owcs along with the insane amount of interest that the fans hold for these orgs. Flyquest has a history of joining NA esports and building solid rosters and trying to develop good players, so that’s an org I think have a chance of joining, but not as likely as the other two.

NA: not likely to join…
-M80
-Toronto Defiant

Why: I have seen these orgs be hyped up for a return by fans, but with the way they went out it just seems unlikely that they will return.

Korea: likely to join….
-DRX

Why: they recently had a massive deal where they got a ton of money, even had to change their name to KRX. With that new income, I am holding out hope for them to try and join Korea

Korea: not likely to join….

Why: I think this one will upset people, but I honestly just don’t think they will be back. They basically gave up at the end of last year and just wanted out, and don’t show up for Korea this year, so what will change next year? Idk, I could be very wrong, but this is just how I feel about Geng in overwatch at the moment.

China: likely to join….
-Bili-bili gaming
-Edward Gaming

Why: I have a feeling that China at the World Cup will preform really well and spike interest within China. We have seen a pattern of the big Chinese orgs (with the exception of all gamers) being an esports org owned by the biggest companies within China. To put it in perspective, it’s like if Amazon owned an extremely successful esports team called Amazon Gaming. These orgs have a ton of money to spend and are the most likely to be willing to take a chance on overwatch. This is the case for bili bili, but for Edward I picked them because of how massively popular they are in China.

China: not likely to join…

Why: I say this with sadness in my heart, because they are my favorite Chinese org in esports. Unless the Chinese scene became massive, I don’t think they will be joining anytime soon :(

Emea: likely to join…. (This was the hardest region to pick btw)
-Al Qad
-Team Heretics
-Fnatic

Why: Al qad is obvious so I won’t talk much about it. Fnatic is just pure cope from me because they played a bit in Korea and my hope is that the Emea scene is developed enough for a return. Heretics I chose because there were rumors of them joining this year, but something happened and it didn’t come through. I hope these teams get a partner slot, because Al qad deserve it and the other two would be great representation of the rest of Emea and bring a ton of fans in.

Emea: not likely to join….

-Vitality
-Falcons
-Gentlemates

Why: for vitality and Gentlemates, I have heard some people wanting them to join because they are French fans, but sadly I don’t think it will happen. Vitality want to be the best, and I don’t think they would risk it on overwatch. Gentlemates I added because my friend wants them to join really bad and I want to crush his hopes. I was originally going to say that Navi could make partnership, but then I realized that they usually only participate in esports when they can have a Ukrainian coach and usually a player or two that is Ukrainian. Who would you pick up for that in overwatch? The only exception that I have seen Navi do with this before is brawl stars, where they participate in Korea (with not much success), so I don’t think it’s likely they would join. Why did I put falcons? Because I have seen a ton of people trying to manifest an Emea falcons where they play for the pride of their country and support the players from there, but that will not happen. The fact is that Falcons has a top tier roster and access to the most talent rich region in the entire game. Why would they give that up? The whole point of their existence is to win titles, not to win titles with Saudi Arabian players. Yes, it is unfair to the Saudi players that have to play with much less support because Falcons are in Korea, but at this point, Falcons aren’t going to swap over, so I find it dumb to even consider this as an option.

Rant over. I want to see what everyone thinks. Am I a crazy person or did I have some valid takes?

(Also I didn’t cover pacific and japan because they don’t have partner spots but I do really appreciate them as regions and I want to see how they do in the future 💕)

1. Is this actually an impressive achievement? Or is it easy to reach
2. What is the best gear slots to have for solo queue?
3. What is the best YT channel to watch for tips on how to play in a high level?
