MLB Scores App is Available for All Subreddits

MLB Scoreboards is available for any baseball subreddit. If you moderate a team sub or a league-wide one and want live game threads that run themselves, here's everything you need.

What it does

Turns a Reddit post into a live scoreboard — score, strike zone with every pitch, box score, plays, standings, win probability, playoff bracket — updating every 10 seconds while the game is on. When the game ends, the same post becomes the wrap.

It also handles the thread work: game threads, automatic postgame threads, postponement notices, and off-day discussions, all from the MLB schedule.

Old Reddit and third-party apps get a full text scoreboard in the same post, updated every minute. Nobody on your sub is left out.

Setup

  1. Install: https://developers.reddit.com/apps/mlb-scores
  2. Mod Tools → Community Apps → mlb-scores → Settings → pick your team under MLB Team Filter (or All Teams for a league-wide sub)
  3. On game day, open your subreddit's menu → Post today's MLB game threads

That's it. Postgame threads post themselves when the game ends.

Good to know

  • Already have a game thread bot? Set Thread type to Broadcast Thread and the app runs as a companion beside your existing threads — it never posts anything automatically in that mode.
  • Spoilers: a Broadcast delay setting holds the live scoreboard back a few seconds for fans watching on a delayed feed. Readers can also set their own delay inside the app.
  • Your wording: custom postgame titles with placeholders for team, opponent, and score.
  • Pinning and comment sort are settings too — the app can take a sticky slot and set your preferred sort on every thread it posts.

Every setting is optional. Install and pick a team, and it works.
