2024 Panigale V4S lowering
I find the bike too high (I am the problem, 5'7-ish 😆). Previous Hondas and Yamahas felt better. I know the technical reasons why it is higher, but I am considering lowering it. There are lowering links specific for the V4S.
Has anyone used those? How does it affect the bike feel on road and track?
Did you also change suspension springs to prevent it from being too hard or preloaded?
Any issues with the electronic suspension system? It is kind of why I got the S in the first place 🫤
I am also looking at lower profile seats but I cannot find one for the Panigale. If anyone has a link.
Any input or tip is welcome.
Bikes with mods in Southern California
I am considering getting a bike that has been modified:
- It is not too loud but it has a full performance exhaust, with a very different configuration from the original one (V4S with high mount Akrapovič). So it is very obvious
- Decatted. No lambda probes / O2 sensors
- Then the usual tail tidy and Rizoma mirrors. The original mirrors had the front blinkers so no front blinkers
95% of the sport bikes I see around have at least a slip-on,. Many full exhausts and other mods.
Do you get stopped by CHP? Because of noise, plate not visible, blinkers, more important stuff, like a pro decatted exhaust system? If you do, is that usually canyon / mountain roads, city roads, freeway?

Alpinestars Tech-Air 10 v2 & Tech-Air 7 reviews
I am shopping for an airbag system. TA-10s used to have bad press. Version 2s seem to have better reviews but I am not yet convinced. Also, you have to fully pull it down to be able to take a leak? 😅
Can anyone that owns it provide some insight?
Other options are of course TA-7 or TA-5 Plasma for which I hear good things. The only thing is that some says that the tail of the TA-7 is too long if you are on the shorter side of a rider. Any 5'7" riders that can speak to it?
It will be used under a full suit in canyon / mountain / fast / track riding, not daily or anything like that.
