Lipedema but NOT Lymphedema? Anyone Else?

I have been diagnosed with lipedema by three practitioners. One of them was the amazing Emily Iker. She did an ultrasound and told me I do not have the co-morbidity that is common with our condition. Since I do not also have lymphedema I’m wondering:

  1. Is there anyone else who only has lipedema?

  2. Which treatments are more for lymphedema? Like is MLD still something I should look into even though I don’t need lymph support/help draining? Vibration plate?

Therapist for N Dad

My father claims he wants to work on his NPD. His current therapist says he’s taken him as far as he can. Most therapists I lookup specialize in treating victims of NPD abuse. Does anyone know any therapists who treat narcissists?

Lipedema, Perimenopause, and Estradiol

I have been diagnosed by two providers as having stage 2-3 in lower extremities and upper arms.

I am going through perimenopause and the symptoms have been life alteringly bad. I just started estradiol (patch) and am going to start micro dosing progesterone at night by its out of stock locally.

I want to have 3-4 surgeries to remove affected tissue and excess skin. I am concerned how HRT will affect results.

Has anyone else gone through HRT for perimenopause? How has it affected your lipedema? Has anyone had surgeries and then went through perimenopause? Do you wish you waited until menopause was over?

Thoughts and experiences welcome.

I just got my first pair of Fanka graduated compression leggings. I selected a size based on the size chart (12). They are super long and slip down bunching around the ankles. I rechecked the size chart and saw that size 12 is for women 5’7”-5’10”

Any short women who found a way to make Fanka work? I like the leggings, but it’s terrible to have to pull them up every 30 minutes.
