1099 Contract Thoughts

My team is currently all w2. 300k base plus call and bonus ends up around 425-450 gross plus retirement matching and full healthcare paid. Currently 12 weeks vacation.

Thoughts on this 1099 contract for new hires:

Base- $275/hr with 8hr minimum daily when working

Overtime- $350/hr after 5PM when not on call.

Weekday Call- $2,000 Daily (covers 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., whether working or not)

Weekend Call- $3,000 Weekend Day

Thanks in advance.

Need some assistance

I'm a pretty new 2 handed bowler with a Hy-Road 40. I've bowled a couple times a year my entire life, but in the last 6 months or so I've been going a couple times a week and just got a ball a couple weeks ago. I'm getting close to a 150 average and I'd really like to break 200.

I'm trying to figure out the best way to learn lane conditions and then make adjustments based upon how my ball is moving.

At this point, just intrinsically my first two games are kind of crummy and then somehow magically on my third game I usually get a pretty decent score but if I'm being completely honest I don't really know exactly what adjustments I'm making, it just kind of happens.

When I first start throwing should I be conservative with shots more down the center to see how the lane responds at each level?

Or would it be more beneficial to really test the limits around the edges and see what's possible?

Any advice on how to feel out the lanes as well as any general ideas on going from a hopeful beginner to intermediate bowler would also be helpful.

I think my biggest challenge is figuring out what shot I want to do based upon lane conditions and then being consistent. I find myself just kind of guessing a lot and throwing by feeling rather than being super purposeful with my shots. Thanks!

RS6 Oil change

I'm a regular schmuck who bought an Audi RS6. It's only got like 10,000 mi on it but it's due an oil change.

I've done plenty of oil changes myself, but I'm to the point where I usually pay people to do stuff these days.

The dealership is like an hour away, is there any reason that going to a dealership is more desirable or can the regular corner quickie oil change place do it just as good? I don't want to cut corners but I would never go to a dealership for anything unless it's actually necessary.

I'm new to having a nice vehicle so slightly unfamiliar territory here.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Oregon Raceway 6/7/26

Was anybody there on sunday? There was a pretty bad crash with a life flight out.

Was wondering if anybody knew if the dude is okay or not. 😬
