New to HP, please confirm my requirements

I am dealing with a 2017 Tahoe with the AFM issue, and I am trying to confirm the required stuff that I need to buy. The idea will be to help diagnose the issue on the front end, and tune that out the AFM after the repair. I also have another 2015 chevrolet truck that I may work with as well.

As far as I can tell, I need an interface cable. I have the laptop and can download whatever software is needed. Is that all I need?

Is there any reason to go with the MPVI4 over the MPVI3? I assume the 4 will do everything the 3 will and the advantage would be newer vehicle compatibility. The 3 seems like it is all I need if I could save a little money on start up costs.

Handball spezial laces - where to get?

My kid wants some of these shoes, but they are only offered in women's sizes and she is still in kids sizes. We found some similar (Ador GSB Spezial QZ) in her size but she really wants the lace appearance laces like the photo. Does anyone know where I can find these specific laces?

Drilling / creating opening in a carbon frame to place cable grommets

Has anyone drilled or otherwise made a hole in their carbon frame to place a cable grommet? I have a chinese carbon frame that really needs cable routing to exit on the sides of the headtube area vs out of the stem cap. I'm running into an issue where I don't have enough clearance because of running the stem / cockpit directly on top of the headtube (no spacers). I would only create a hole in a place that is flat, not in a joint or anywhere that is obviously a bad spot.

I know that this could compromise or alter the rigidity or structural soundness of the frame. It seems like most that have this kind of routing have holes that are molded in during the layup process.

Curious if anyone has done it and if it affected anything.

Propagation pattern of ground plane dual band antenna on a vehicle

I am a ham and have a dual band mobile in a vehicle. It is a 4 door full size truck. The attached photo is an illustration of how that antenna is positioned. it is a Nagoya dual band 2m/70cm mag base. I have never used the software programs that estimate the propagation pattern in 3D, but I was wondering if this could help point out some issues.

I know that this type of antenna is basically an omnidirectional design and it uses the vehicle itself as the ground plane. The red circle is where the antenna is currently positioned. At the moment, it is not directly in the center of the roof because there is not enough coax for reach. I am going to add a jumper to the end on the inside to move it to the center.

For now though, I am curious what the propagation pattern would look like or if it would be affected by (1.) The vehicle itself, and (2.) The current positioning of the antenna more towards the rear of the roof.

I know that the receiving station's distance matters. I am seeing a repeatable pattern where I am not getting good signal reports when my vehicle is parked and not pointing towards a repeater tower. However, if I park with it pointed towards the tower, my signal is suddenly solid. This is mostly observed using UHF and the repeater tower is about 10 miles away.

Which Q code should I use if I know my signal is bad?

Occasionally, during a transmission I will be "in the weeds" - where I know the reason. For example, I'm in bad weather conditions, etc. What Q code would be best to use for this?

QRN - troubled by static

QRJ - signals weak?

Since most of the Q codes are mostly questions, I am not sure how to state that "I am Q.." just to to be sure the receiving station(s) know the reason that they can't copy me clearly.

Are recipes for DIY syrups best searched here or another subreddit?

I'm interested in attempting to make - NOT buy - premade syrups. I have done some searching but not seeing anything specific. Is this the best place to search or is there another subreddit / place I should be looking?

Looking to make Dr. Pepper zero sugar, Redbull winter edition iced vanilla berry zero sugar, and Redbull amber edition strawberry apricot zero sugar. I do not want caffeine though, so making all three without that would be great.

I am assuming the zero sugar part is sucralose or another artificial sweetener. Not sure what to use on other ingredients though

Unable to finish sign up process for My Choice

I tried to sign up for My Choice years ago and ran into some issues. I am back to it again trying to get it set up.

I actively receive emails from UPS to my business Gmail account, which is the one I want associated with my choice.

I don't ever remember creating a username or password or anything, and I don't have a record of it. It tells me "wrong username or password" at any login attempt.

I would have to have both the email and username to reset the password, which I don't.

The only other option is to retrieve the username by entering the email associated with the account. I have done that multiple times and I never get an email.

Yet UPS still sends me emails at this email address...

Is there anything I can I do?

I am building a new race bike for my daughter and I need good solid sources for finding used parts. Ideally, I would like to be able to save searches and hit every source's site daily and refresh or hit the saved searches button to see if anything has been posted. I am not necessarily in a hurry, but I don't have time to look for an hour every day. I know the specific parts I need. I'd really like to look for just that, but wading through everything else can be exhausting.

I know about Pinkbike, Ebay, and fb marketplace. Are there any other good sources?

I am in the USA

I've built several generic carbon frame bikes (Chinese frames). All have been fine with no issues.

I was wondering if there are generic frame options for e mtb, and if the motor/ drive systems can be sourced separately.

Only reason to consider is just saving a little money over the big box brands.
