What is the current telework policy at JSC for engineers, specifically?

Are you able to have a telework schedule in place at all, or is it only situational telework? Or none at all?

Looking for a spicy paranormal romance with cinnamon roll MMC and an actual plot that goes beyond the romance

Shifters, werewolves, vampires, fae, literally whatever. But he’s gotta be sweet to the FMC, even if he’s not sweet to anyone else. The spicier the better, but I don’t want “they fuck each other” to be the entire plot. Pls and thnx

Which school supplies should I label?

I know this is kind of a hot topic of debate right now, but which of my son’s school supplies should I label vs not label?

I’m totally fine with the community supplies thing, but surely some things are just his? Like his pencil box and his headphones? I don’t plan on labeling each individual pencil or crayon or anything, but do I write his name on the box that the crayons come in?

Here’s what I’m planning on sticking a label on vs not sticking one on. Let me know your thoughts.

Label-

Plastic folders with brads

Headphones

Composition notebooks

½ white binder

Scissors (I’ll write his name in sharpie)

Plastic pencil box

Don’t label-

12x18 construction paper

Dry erase markers

Sheet protectors

Tissues

Pencils

Glue sticks

Sandwich bags

Also, the teacher didn’t ask for erasers, but they had some really fun pokemon erasers that my son wanted to buy, and he also wanted a pencil sharpener. Is it going to be annoying if I put those in his pencil box when we send the supplies? Should those just be at home things?

Kids playing outside alone? Help settle a debate

My husband and I disagree on whether our kids should be allowed to go outside alone to play in the backyard.

Our kids are 6 and 4, and our backyard is completely enclosed with a privacy fence. There are gates on both sides of the house, but they are both locked and you need a key to open them. We have a lot of windows in our house that overlook the backyard, and you can hear what is going on outside easily from both the living room and the kitchen. They’re not allowed to go on the sides of the house, which aren’t visible from the windows.

My husband (and my mom) both think they’re too little to go out and play by themselves. I think it’s fine for them to be out there for short stretches while I’m in the kitchen or the living room. I can them through the windows, and I can hear them if they use anything louder than a normal speaking voice, which let’s be honest, they are louder than that 99% of the time. I don’t always have my eyes on the windows, like if I’m in the pantry looking for something or if I turn around to stir a pot or something. But it’s never longer than a minute or so.

Is it really dangerous for them to be back there without me? There is literally no way in or out of the backyard unless someone hopped the fence I guess. But my kids couldn’t and wouldn’t do that, and I guess if a stranger hopped the fence into our yard, I would see or my kids would be loud enough that they’d alert me. Same thing if they got hurt- I could hear them, if I didn’t see it happen.

I’ve been sending them out there while I cook dinner in the evenings. They love it because it makes them feel like big kids, and they have fun out there. I love it because they’re getting outside time, and I get to cook in relative peace.

Would you feel comfortable with it, if you had a yard like mine?

What does screen time look like for your kids?

What are the rules surrounding screen time in your family? How long are your kids allowed to be on screens? Which devices are they allowed to use? What are and aren’t they allowed to do on their devices? And how old are they?
