Nailog and Heyhae
The second pic is from a Nailog set but I hated the pink and yellow solids. So the next day I switched them out with some leftovers from a HeyHae set.

Beolata 025. These are different than semi cured wraps. They don’t need a light. They were super easy to apply. The pack comes with 44 wraps so I can get 2 manis and a pedicure out of it. I’ve been wanting to get away from using the UV lamp. They are thicker than Heyhae or Huizi wraps. Plus the kit came with a decent file and a sizing tool that I found handy.
I booked a cruise for next month for my family of 4 in 2 rooms. My husband and I in 1 room and our adult kids in the other. I’m only able to see the room that I’m staying in in the app. I am able to check in for my kids when I checked all of us in. But I can’t manage their reservation at all. Is there a way to link our reservations so I can see everything for my family in the app?
I’m seeing a lot of ads for these pens like Ocura or The Nuzzy Pen. By reading reviews they seem to work well! What is the difference between one of these devices vs. a Skin Classic or Lamprobe? The price tag is a huge difference of $30 vs $5k! I’ve referred clients out to another esthetician who has a Skin Classic. One of those clients forwarded me an ad on Instagram for the Ocura.
I am 51 and never had any menopause or perimenopause symptoms. I had a hysterectomy when I was 40. I’m wondering if I should still be doing HRT to help with bone density and my brain function as I age. As far as I know my mom and grandma didn’t have many symptoms. I never heard them talk about it though.
Driving past that campground it looks so sad and depressing with no shade as all the cottonwood trees have either died or been chopped off up high on the trunk.
It was absolutely amazing. Definitely a long haul. But so worth the effort. Here are a few of my thoughts:
We took 6am shuttle to Chamberlain’s Ranch. We used Red Rock shuttle and they refunded us for one in our group who couldn’t come, even though it was inside the no refund window. The shuttle ride was long and bumpy. We started our hike in 43 degrees. It was cool but we warmed up fast. It was perfect weather for our trip. We all wore shorts and long sleeves that was adequate for the entire hike.
The hike was gorgeous. Around every bend we were in awe. We rented boots and neoprene socks from Zion Outfitters. We all were so glad for those canyoneering boots. They really protected our feet and had good grip. The water temp was 55 degrees so it felt warm.
Took us 6.5 hours to reach campsite 5. We were so glad we didn’t need to go further. We stopped several times to explore and rest. The campsite was great! The others we saw before were small. I also thought campsites 8,10 and 12 were really good but man it would be a long first day to get to #12.
The second day hiking out was harder than day 1. The river is wider and higher. Many times it was calf or knee deep. The first day was mostly ankle deep. There were a few sketchy scrambles down large rocks and 2 full on swims. The swims can be avoided with kinda difficult high climbs but I wasn’t up for that with my pack.
We had beautiful weather. No bugs. No rodents at all. I didn’t see a fish or a squirrel until closer to the end. I didn’t see one piece of trash. No human waste. I appreciated the strict pack out rules. It really felt like everyone before us left no trace.
We are backpacking Narrows top down in a few days. Anyone camp without a tent? Just cowboy camp under the stars?
I love these ones from Heyhae. I added a base coat and glitter gel top coat c
I keep seeing advice to use local hashtags. What are the best ones to use? My business specializes in waxing, mainly Brazilians and brows. I also do a lot of brow tinting and skin care like microneedling and dermaplaning. I’m always using #citybrows #cityfacials etc. what are some other local ones you all use?
Getting ready to do our hike at the end of the month. It’s 1 night camping. How mandatory is a tent? The monsoons don’t start that early. Has anyone gone with no tent? I did 3 nights in Havasupai under the stars, but I was much younger.
Getting ready to do Narrows top down overnight trip in Zion.
I’m starting to feel nervous. I’m a 50 year old woman and I keep asking myself if I’m crazy to do this? I’m in decent shape. I’d say I’m fit at 50. I exercise daily. I walk/hike daily and I take 4 HIIT classes a week. The only other trip similar to this that I’ve done was hiking Havasupai 15 years ago. Back then I was not in good shape, I did not exercise daily, and I was a smoker. And I still managed it just fine. But I’m a lot older now. I do take my health much more seriously. Anyone else get nervous? I’m wondering if I’m crazy and dragging my group into something that’s going to get us in over our heads.
Edit: Thank you for the responses. I’m feeling better now!!
I recently reconnected with an old friend. We worked together 30 years ago. We had a platonic relationship. We both got married and had families of our own and really not much contact besides a little bit on social media for 25 years. A few months ago, I noticed he was going to all these music festivals again, so I reached out to see what he was up to. And it turns out he’s going through another divorce. I found out he lived super close to me and so we met up and hung out one time. And that’s led to us talking a lot and I’ve been really enjoying it.
This past weekend we went to an EDM show. I also brought my 21-year-old son. We were all meeting at my house before leaving for the show around 8:30 PM. This old friend had been at another music festival all day long and showed up to my house already drunk. I was trying to pace myself because I knew we had a long night ahead. Once we got to the venue, he was out of control. He was falling down drunk. He even got kicked out at one point. It was like hanging around a drunk teenager. Even my 21-year-old is more of responsible than he is. It just made me lose so much respect for him seeing him like that. Like read the room! It’s so annoying dealing with a sloppy drunk.
I’ve had enough of him now. I definitely know I don’t wanna go to another show with him. And he’s been bugging us to go to a weekend long festival in a few months and I know now I am not going to be doing that. Honestly, don’t even care if I hang out with him anymore. I feel so bad though because he’s going through a lot. And I’m not the type of person to abandon a friend during a hard time.
He needs to get his crap together. Probably quit drinking. I feel bad that I don’t wanna have anything to do with him anymore.
I’m going on my first trip soon. Today I did a practice hike with my pack and it was my first time using a bladder with the long tube to drink from. I found it so difficult to use! What is another good way to carry my water? I need 3-4 liters.
I’ve been using Refectocil for years for my clients lashes and brows. When I do a lash lift, I use all InLei products, including their tint and developer. I have a client that’s been getting regular lash lifts for years. She always comes in a couple weeks later to get her lashes re-tinted. And she always request the Refectocil because she thinks it looks much darker and lasts longer. She doesn’t feel like she gets a good tint whenever I tint with a lash lift. My question is, can I use the Refectocil tint and developer when doing a lash lift? The only difference I think is the developer.
This was so yummy! Pickles, cucumbers, avocado, chicken, salt and vinegar chips, feta, dill and a home made dill pickle ranch dressing.
