Fired up Rogue...oh wow the difference is stark

Like a lot of you, I fondly remembered Black Flag, and was excited to play it again. Dove right in and it felt EXACTLY how I remembered it. But after a while, I found myself thinking of Rogue, and decided to boot up the 2018 remastered version, and was absolutely shocked how bad it felt. The movement, the water physics, sound quality, everything. I rode on the Morrigan for about 5 minutes and just bailed.

The contrast really shows how much love and effort went into this resync, and how drastic the improvement really is, and you would never notice unless you fired up the old version first. It'll just feel like you remember it, but spend a few minutes on either OG Blag Flag or Rogue and it'll give you a whole new appreciation for the work they've done

10/10 and possibly the best remake I've ever played.

Mark, you're fired. Matt212, welcome to the Audi DuoTone family

Man I knew setups mattered, but had no idea how much difference it would make. I went from being lapped twice every GP, to a 10th place finish just from throwing on Matt212's Dutch GP setup. Went from shredding tires to pitting at 50 percent and wondering if I should have pushed another lap. Incredible difference for something the game really gives you little direction on (at least on MyTeam)

Mark...you're done. Get out of my garage. Matt. Seats warm for you brother. Let's get some results. That other dude was just making up the numbers, which he assured me he wasn't gonna do!

0.05 seconds is all that separated my teammate and I for the coveted Top 20 spot in Australia

We'd just been lapped by Verstappen so that was the finish

A spirited fight is brewing at the Audi DuoTone garage

Trashed energy store

So my first race in Austraila was wet. Practice. Quali, and race. So I basically spent the entire time with a topped off battery through no choice of my own.

Run practice in China, no problems. Sprint race, I make it two laps before my energy store blows and I DNF. Have to take a grid penalty to replace it Parc Ferme.

So everytime I have a wet race I'm going to burn out my energy store? Or is it just a bad luck coincidence?

Driver Retirement PSA

Hello again all. I went ahead and tested the driver retirement model from last season. It seems to still hold up.

*Driver pool choice still determines who will retire!*

So far in the Jak Crawford pool, I've seen Hamilton and Alonso

In the Victor Martin's pool, it's the same as last season, Hamilton or Verstappen

And the third pool with Fornarelli, I had Hulkenburg and Alonso

Those are the only 4 I've seen. And I've also noticed Seb Montoya doesn't seem to be in the initial driver sets. But you can sign him as a free agent

Hit a trillion on a frost sorc

Pure frost. No gimmicks, just all ice, all the time. Paragon 249

This was in P115. Can clear it fairly easily but P120 boss is a slog, but I can get to him.

I gotta go to work but I will try and post the build later if anyone is interested in a frost build that doesn't use any other element

Crit chance/damage versus Cold/vuln

Ok so sitting on 69.8 crit chance at 1745.2

My vuln and cold modifiers both sit around 800.

Did I overdo it on crit? Should I dial back some crit damage to even then out a bit more?

Pure frost build

I've been working on an ice sorc, figured this patch was a good time to wing it myself and not follow any sort of guide.

Made it to T8 with no problems really, but I imagine I'm all over the place as far as aspects

What should be my offensive/defensive/utility splits? For example should I have say 5 offensive, 3 defensive, 1 utility? Same with paragon board, 4 offensive 1 defensive?

Any can't miss aspects I should go out of my way to use?

Gear stats seem easy enough. Intel, Life, and some damage multiples/cooldown reductions

Only mythic I have is a nice Heir of Perdition, I should swap that out for Shako correct? Along with Tyreals might?

Iceheart Brais is really my only locked in unique, I need the power to fuel my shatter novas. But since I'm using that I am free to remove Frost Nova from my bar, correct?

Charms I have tal rasha's set but was wondering since I'm pure ice if the ice specific set would be better but I've seen people use TR for the defense which I sorely need

Appreciate any tips or advice, I am not chasing the meta so no need to tell me to switch to static field or whatever. Sticking with ice!
