Please tell me it gets better...

So, I tried contacts for the first time. The tutorial on how to insert them was a struggle and I couldnt get them in at home by myself. After just hating how I look with glasses and having a 1 year old that has grabbed and broken a few pairs, I decided at my optometrists appointment to try contacts again.

My left eye just doesn't open up as much as my right and, after a long while of tutorials at the doctors office, trying half a dozen different techniques, and a lot of frustration, i finally got them in and was able to leave with them on.

Well, cut to today trying them alone at home. It took me an hour of cursing, pain, and yanking at eyelids, eyelashes, and wondering how I, a 34 year old man, can't put a lens in my left eye. Now, a few hours later and after checking my eyes a dozen times to make sure theyre in correctly, my eyes still feel irritated. I'm dreading having to take them off and spend my lunchbreak locked in the bathroom fighting to get them in.

Please tell that someone had a similar experience as me and now can get them in and out easily every day? Not to be dramatic, but I feel like a moron that I can't do this simple task that your average person can do every morning with barely a thought.

Sorry for the rant, I've just been so humbled by these things that theyre giving me an existential crisis.

[Coffee Talk] #43 - A quick little platinum but a fantastic and fun visual novel. Nothing too groundbreaking, but I'll recommend this to anyone that wants a palate cleanser.
