Make your iPod into a DS
With all of these brilliant, modern, really clean themes that are coming out for Rockbox almost daily, why not install one that's clunky and (very possibly) nostalgic?
I've been working on this DSi theme for a little while now, and it's at a point where I feel comfortable releasing a version of it. There are a few little stutters due to its nature, but if you ignore them then it runs perfectly.
The WPS is based on the DSi Sound's music player, and when the hold switch is activated an alternate version of this UI is displayed. And yes, the main menu does scroll like the original carousel.
Check it out at the Rockbox Themes site, or find the name 'RockDSi' when picking themes in the installer.

The Rockboxtendo One-Screen
I recently made a Rockbox theme that mimics the DSi's UI, and I think it's quite funny to put the two side-by-side! It has its flaws (as I'm not the best programmer) but I think it's neat for what it is :)
You can get the theme for yourself here: Rockbox Themes - RockDSi Theme
'Basic Pico' theme for the DSpico / Pico Launcher
Hi all,
A very simple theme from me today, this time styled after the Pico Launcher logo (you'll know it from the cart's splash screen).
No BGM here (keeping it simple y'know) but you can copy the BGM folder from any of my prior themes (or your own) to this one if you need some music.
You can download it at the GBAtemp page.
I hope you enjoy this one! And if you don't, then you can sift through all my previous themes over on my GBAtemp profile, or on the kernel-themes website by sorting by creator, as all my themes should then appear at the top.
PiBuntu (Ubuntu) Theme for DSpico / Pico Launcher
Hi all,
People seemed to like PicoXP so I thought I'd make something a bit more underwhelming: a Linux theme.
If you couldn't have guessed, this is based on Ubuntu (and don't worry, there aren't nearly as many styles as PicoXP). There are just 5 wallpapers, and 2 'styles' (different icons for the taskbar).
Each theme opens with the Ubuntu 18.10 boot sound followed by a random selection of 3 vaporwave tracks (and don't worry, they loop seamlessly!).
You can find out more (and download the thing) over on the GBAtemp page.

PiDeck Theme for DSpico / Pico Launcher
Hi all,
Another theme from me, this time it's a very selfish one that I made for myself (but I thought I'd share it anyways).
This theme is based on the interfaces of various Yamaha tape decks that I've owned over the years (currently the KX-10 & KX-393). All assets were drawn by me in Photoshop.
The BGM is also real music (shocker); I've put together an extended, looping version of Duster's Orbitron, which I thought was fitting given the theme.
You can download it from the GBAtemp page HERE.
Hope you like this one! There's always more to come too...
[RELEASE] PicoXP Ultimate Theme Collection - The most customisable theme for Pico Launcher // DSpico
Hello all,
I am finally releasing my biggest theme project yet: PicoXP Ultimate.
This is a collection of 360 different versions of PicoXP, allowing you to customise the theme to your liking. There are 20 wallpapers & 9 visual styles for you to choose from, and each theme comes in a Vertical & Horizontal orientation.
All themes were designed and created by hand to match their original Windows counterparts as closely as possible. Absolutely NO artificial intelligence was used in any way, shape or form.
You can download the theme(s) at the GBAtemp page: PicoXP Ultimate Page
As I've assembled each theme variant manually, there may be some mistakes/errors. I have checked through multiple times to correct any that I have made, but if you encounter anything out-of-place, please don't hesitate to let me know so that I can update.
Installation instructions and troubleshooting are available within a text file, which is included with every download.
I hope you enjoy the theme, it has been an incredibly fun project which I am so happy to finally release to you all.

Two new themes for Pico Launcher / DSpico - PICO LN-H & PiCracked
Hi all,
I'm back again with 2 new themes for the launcher. As you can tell, one is definitely more high-effort than the other.
- PICO LN-H: This theme is based on the interface of the DS synthesizer 'KORG DS-10'. The theme contains 2 BGMs which were composed using the aforementioned software.
- PiCracked: A simple, semi-usable prank theme, inspired by such previous examples completed for the 3DS, Wii, etc... Make sure you have your volume up ;)
You can download PICO LN-H here: PICO LN-H Theme Page
And get the PiCracked theme here: PiCracked Theme Page
As always, if you have any feedback or suggestions, feel free to contact me either here on Reddit or on Discord (@360ad).
P.S. All new themes contain a TXT file going over installation instructions & theme-based troubleshooting. If you have an issue, read through that before contacting me as pretty much everything that could go wrong is explained there :)
Old meets (slightly less) old
I thought I'd share a picture of my current daily drivers now that I've finished designing matching Rockbox themes for them :)
What's better than an iPod that lasts 20 hours on a charge? 2 iPods that barely last 4 hours each!
If you want the Rockbox themes, you can grab them for yourself here:
I would usually be daily-ing a custom mirror-finish Mini 2G, but that's in bits right now as I had to harvest its organs (a.k.a borrow its SD card).
Zelda Theme for DSpico / Pico Launcher
Hi all,
Just a quick release from me to satiate you while I work on something bigger...
Zelda theme! Based on and redrawn after the Acekard Zelda theme. I had to redraw it all so it would work with the Pico's UI, but it should be ^(relatively) faithful to the original.
Download it here (as per usual): The GBAtemp Web Page on the Web (World Wide)
Hope you like this one! Exam season is nearly over and once it is, there'll be a barrage of themes coming your way :3
I made some custom DSpico box art.
A while ago I decided to design some box art for the DSpico, since there wasn't any available. Little did I know there also weren't any HD templates for the boxes around either! So lo and behold I've redesigned the whole box art for glorious 600dpi (or it may have been 300dpi, it was a while ago!).
You can download the lossless PDF version for printing here: Catbox PDF Link
The box art is entirely based off of the standard Nintendo design for official releases, so it should match the rest of your collection.
Hope this is what some people were after! :)
LPod - A new theme for the iPod Nano
I've been running Rockbox on this little guy for at least 2 years now, and I've finally moved on from the last theme I made (OneBitNano, which was a demake of the OneBitMono 6g theme) and designed something completely new: I've called it LPod. The name is derived from the fact that I use this device to listen to a handful of my vinyl rips.
You can download it from the themes section of the Rockbox installer UI, or directly from the site here.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on it, as I'll be making versions for the other iPod models in the near future :)
My battered but beautiful Nano
With the huge amount of mods available for the Classic & Mini lineup, it's rare to see much appreciation for these beautiful little devices. Who needs more than 4GB anyways??

Feel free to share pictures of your Nanos so I can get jealous! Bonus points if you have a model running Rockbox :D
Working on a new theme for the 3rd Gen iPod.
I thought I'd share some pictures of a theme I've been running for a few months now. I've designed it to be a bit more modern than some of the older themes for these pods, since I've been using my 3rd gen to listed to my LP rips. As such, the working title is 'LPod'.
Although designed for the 3rd gen, it works perfectly with the 1st & 2nd, along with the 4th gen monochrome.
If anyone is interested in a theme like this, then I can get round to releasing it! :)
P.S. Ignore the 'iPod Mini' text in the top left, I totally wasn't trying to make this into a mini theme too...
PicoXP Theme for DSpico / Pico Launcher
Hello again DS community.

- Pixel art design directly based on the XP OS.
- 2 different versions available to properly suit all the viewports.
- Bullet Point Number 5
Download it and read even more about this theme here: Crazy GBAtemp Link
Hope you like this one as much as (most of) you have enjoyed the rest :D
