Elephant Tree

In development since 1995, originally purchased from UC Arboretum and Botanical Garden at Cal State Fullerton (1995).

I acquired it today from an old timer today, Oscar, who is out of West Covina.

Super pumped to steward this tree (succulent?) for a few more decades!

Mini Orchid Arrangement I Made This Weekend + a few others.

I bought about 12 mini cascading white lining the outside ring, and filled in with 5-6 double stem small ones.

Hoping I can keep it alive this time longer than my last ones. It was plenty of buds.

Quite happy from my visit to the Flower Market in downtown LA. I visited my favorite orchid shop and they told me their greenhouse was in Encinitas; so I also made a visit to San Diego.

Photos 3-7 are from another Orchid Greenhouse in Encinitas. The owners told me their actually get their supply direct from Hawaii —> Taiwan. Very cool to basically hear about the supply chain to USA.

I made the little mini red and white arrangement for my sister in law as well.

I’m usually into bonsai trees, but orchids have had my focus the last few months.

Quite happy from my visit to the Flower Market in downtown LA. My all time favorite place (and prices) for orchids are at Flora Clay in DTLA. I’ve haven’t seen anywhere close to matching their prices.

I was at a few of the wholesale greenhouses in Encinitas a few weeks ago where much of the supply comes in from Taiwan and Hawaii. The places in DTLA still had better prices somehow.

Finally figured out options after years of losing money hand over fist consistently!

Or luck…

Next Semi Trade: $TTMI

Going long on TTM Technologies ($TTMI)

Nvidia put out their new Bill of Goods for the Blackwell and updated costs their next Vera Rubin GPU rack.

You can see the breakdown of the various components in the article or table here.

You will see the huge increases in cost really accrue to memory (all the memory names already ran up like 1000% this year, Micron, Sandisk, Seagate, Samsung).

PCB (Printed Circuit Boards) is going to massively increase in the overall spend, up 233%.

There is pretty much one PCB public company in the US (TTM Technologies). $TTMI

All the other publicly traded PCB companies are out of Taiwan. This makes sense, as proximity to TSM where all the manufacturing takes place.

If interested, the second photo is the other PCB Taiwan companies. I don’t spend too much time playing the Asian listed companies…

$TTMI should be a huge winner as Nvidia’s Vera Rubin GPU ramps starting Q3 2026

Those are today’s percentage gains.

Imagine working a real job when you can make 35% a day investing into the biggest buildout in modern history!
