When my PC goes into standby I keep hearing plug-in and plug-out sounds
Hello everyone!
I kindly need your help because this issue is driving me crazy
Recently, whenever my PC goes into standby mode (or even if I just press Win + L), after a few minutes my monitor goes black and shows “DP Not Connected”. Then my GPU seems to turn off, and I start hearing the Windows plug-in / plug-out sounds from my speakers
What’s really driving me mad is that sometimes it repeats itself 4–5 times in a row
I already tried some troubleshooting steps, but none of them worked:
- Fresh AMD driver installation
- Disabled USB power saving
- Disabled ULPS
I also checked Event Viewer and noticed some errors related to the monitor or DisplayPort connection:
----
The device DISPLAY\NVT079C\7&2b2df7fe&0&UID264 was unexpectedly removed because it was reported missing from the bus.
Number of devices removed: 1
OR

Some additional details that may help:
- Monitor: MSI MAG 275QF (latest driver installed)
- GPU: XFX RX 7900 XT
- CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- Motherboard: MSI MAG B850
- I can clearly see the XFX logo light on the GPU turning off and on during the issue
- I tried with HDMI and does the same if not worst... standby -> monitor goes black -> HDMI no signal -> MY GPU seemes disconnecting and reconnecting (no sounds but I'm seeing the XFX led turning ON and OFF like 3/4 times in a Row)
Performance wise or temperature wise (thankfully), I've no issues or disconnections, PC has like 8 month life
I really hope I'll see the light somehow, thank you in advance
EDIT: Formatted error in English
EDIT 2: Unplugged all USBs (only bluetooth keyboard), still the same
EDIT 3: https://youtu.be/Z2fKdgq2uQ4 I made a video of the problem
