Plat 1 Emre (Nexal) / replay code :(4MXBTR) Antarctic. How to play the game?

I play hitscan (76 - Emre) on console where double hitscan is dominant and that makes the game relatively easy to me (just play cover, hold an angle and try to outaim enemy hitscans) and then i would run into actual team compositions (flex dps/hitscan...) and thats were the problem starts. I actually never learned how to play the game.

I never learned how to play around enemy composition, how to position according to the situation, cooldown management, ult tracking.... and because of that this game like many games with similar situations became disastrous.

What concerns me the most is positioning. Because i noticed that my positioning isn't just being affected by enemy comp, it's also a general problem, throughout almost every game I constantly find my self in the least optimal angles, surrounded, isolated, contributing little to fights, even out of the fight.

So i don't know how to position. I just pick spot because I saw other players use said spot, not knowing why I should pick that spot or why it works. So when the situation requires different playstyle I genuinely get lost.

So I hope I can get help in that regard.

Do good ranked players leave the game when the season end approaches?

So I'm Gold/Plat dps main (76/Emre) and i peaked at Plat 2, but during the season my rank would range from Gold 4 to 2.

I would be hard stuck Gold all the season, barely touching gold 1 before losing and ranking down. But then when the season's end becomes near the matches suddenly became easier. I wouldn't have necessarily improved in said season, i just play with autopilot 90% of the time and i rarely do focused practicing sessions, overall my skill level would still be the same.

I suddenly start winning more games and then rank up to Plat, all that during the half month prior to Drives. And then Drives begin and what happens to my rank varies every time. But when i finish in Plat and start the new season afterwards, i lose 10 in a row, and return to being hardstuck Gold all season. I have repeated this cycle at least three times.

Every time this happens to me it leaves me confused and sad, because now I wonder if I was a Plat players in the first place. If no, then what is the explanation behind the phenomenon I described?

Practicing mechanics.

Hello. so im a hitscan player (Emre / S76) on console and i have a problem: I barely improve (mechanics wise). Before Emre came I was a one trick Soldier. I have 316 hours with him, nearly 160 of which were spent on aim training (mainly VAXTA) and currently I'm level 140 on him. Yet, whenever I face a soldier with the same level I get easily diffed. They always exceed me in every aspect even in raw mechanics. So maybe I am growing fast enough.

The problem is that i feel like I have plateaued. My mechanics (especially my aim) are not getting better. No matter how many hours I play, how many deathmatchs I play... So maybe I'm doing it wrong. So how do you improve your aim on console?

Skipping fillers

I'm reading the light novel and i have entered the last 500 chapters(currently at 1184). I don't want to read the whole dream world sequence, i find it boring. So, if skipping the whole sequence won't ruin the story please highlight to me the skippable chapters.
