The other day I posted about my two hydroponic sweet red pepper plants. Here’s the post Unfortunately I discovered thrips on one of the plants so I immediately threw both of them out. These were how many peppers that were actively growing on the plants.

My normal harvest was 3-4 peppers every 3 days or so.

I have zero idea where the thrips came from. The only thing I did recently was bring home a bottle of PH up that I bought from a green house and I left it in the grow tent. My mistake and I think maybe it was on the bottle idk but it sucks.

Now my grow tent is quarantined for 2 months to ensure that the infestation is dead and not reproducing and then start over.

My two red pepper plants that have been going since April of this year. They produce roughly 4 peppers every 3-4 days. I have to trim the plants daily to control the amount of buds it will produce otherwise the entire plant would be full of peppers. If you have too many peppers growing at once they will be small so to grow larger peppers keep the number down to a reasonable amount.

I like to make sure there are a few buds I let go to produce whenever I take off any peppers. It’s been going strong since April 2026 and hopefully keeps going for a while. They say they can last up to a year while producing.

For those interested the base is a cheap root farm hydroponic setup with built in pump. I have air pumps in each plant. I use kronk nutrients with an ec of around 2500 and ph of 5.9 to 6.1.

Kronk nutrients while producing for 12L of distilled water. I like to use distilled as the tap water often left me with bad results.

Micro Amount per 4 L of water -8 mL for 12L -24ml
Grow 4ml and 12ml for 12L water
Bloom 12 ml and 36Ml for 12L
CalMag 4 mL and 12 ml for 12L of Water
Bud Booster 4 ml and 13 ml for 12 L of Water
Silica 2 ml for 4L of water or 5ml for 12L of water

Add nutrients in order, silica, wait 30 mins, calmag, wait a few mins, micro, grow, bloom, bud booster.

I change out water every 2 weeks and when water or ec gets low I add in nutrients for 4L or use ChatGPT to find exact measurements required for any ec!

Keep the ph between 5.8 to 6.2. As the plant absorbs nutrients the ph will drop. This is a good indicator that your plant is taking in nutrients. If the ph starts increasing it’s time to change the water. Ph needs to be checked daily as it will decrease a lot so to keep the plant happy check daily. You will find when you check daily you will need to adjust daily. I use root farm ph up as it’s the cheapest option and works great.

I’m also a beginner and feel like I at least have pepper plants down to a science. Also growing different varieties of lettuce in bunch of click and grow gardens. Microgreens in a few trays with cheap $20 single grow lights, so far everything is Turing out. Good luck

Went to the grand opening last night with the Wallflowers. Was absolutely packed

Personally, I love the wallflowers music but Dylan sounded extremely tired. Venue was nice.

Edit: I’ll add that security and entry was extremely quick and easy. 2 large bars and tons of staff. The setup was good.

A bounced landing and close call for a DC3 at a remote airstrip on August 5,2026 in Paulatuk Northwest Territories, Canada. No reports of injuries and flight did not make any further attempts at landing and returned back to Inuvik NT.

Edit: There are reports of minor injuries to some passengers , neck/back but no major injuries.

Edit: Apparently this is a DC3T. Turbine engines. The Basler BT-67 is a multi purpose aircraft based on completely overhauled and significantly modified Douglas DC-3 airframe. The modifications completed by Basler Turbo Conversions includes the installation of PT6A turboprop engines, fuselage lengthening, airframe strengthening and modernized avionics.

Air traffic controller issues MANPAD alert to landing aircraft. Threat turned out to be false but what do you do when you get something like this from ATC? Continue approach?

If your a fan of lower decks like I am then you know it was cancelled wayyy to soon. It was an awesome show and hilarious. Even the Strange new worlds spinoff was awesome.

I know it has been cancelled for a while but it was one of the few shows that had a lot of laughs and was very original. It was cancelled way too early IMO and still had a lot of life left in it.

Hopefully if enough people write/ email in they will bring it back? It was one of the very few shows that teens absolutely loved and watched on tv. In a time when all they consume was YouTube it was a nice break to have them watch this show and introduce them to Trek

Found this interesting. Shrinkflation struck my hot dogs before the buns. My hot dog size is way smaller than my bun size so I’m guessing one company reduced and the other is still using the same pan size.

The price however went up. $8 for a package of Schneiders Red Hots.
