Took a shot at 500 lbs today after a full training cycle and deload. Previous PR is 485.

Got it past the knees but couldn't quite finish the lockout. This seems to be my usual sticking point whenever I miss a heavy pull.

My last heavy deadlift day was 415 for 9+2

What stands out to you guys? Technique, positioning, weak lockout, or something else?

Did anyone else go through this phase where the traps/back hurt more than the actual squats? My upper back is becoming my limiting factor versus my legs.
Did it just take time to adapt or was there something specific that fixed it for you?
