Is a master’s degree worth it for networking opportunities?

I fucked up badly in undergrad; got bad grades and didn't get any internships or go to networking events. Haven't gotten ANY jobs in accounting or finance since I graduated 5 years ago. But I'm now in a much better place mentally and know that I can do much better academically.

I know this sub generally dislikes the MACC but I'm wondering if it would be worth it for these circumstances.

(I have just started studying for the FAR section of the CPA exam).

Which metro has a stronger economy and more job opportunities?

We'd be relocating from a smaller city in Indiana without much career progression and this is the primary reason we're exploring moving.

I know that Louisville has a cooler vibe, is prettier, and has more access to nature but which metro has a stronger economy and more job opportunities?

We'd be relocating from a smaller city in Indiana without much career progression and this is the primary reason we're exploring moving.
