What is wrong with the dating apps?

Around 2019, they were at their peak algorithm wise. The last couple of years, especially reading this subreddit, there are hundreds and hundreds of people who experience the same issues. No matches, no replies, and the discoverability has plummeted. On top of that, you have to talk to your matches as you are talking to a hotel’s reception— because with the slightest edgy comment or alternative humor, your profile can be banned.
No spark at all.

AI has messed these apps significantly and they are pushing their users for buying boosts to combat this “issue”. Something is definitely wrong and hopefully they will fix it sooner or later to improve the user experience and to gain more steady customers in the long run.

Why some people hate Dyson so much?

I get that Dyson’s appliances have a premium price but overall it is a good brand with unique designs.

Is there a drop in the quality in the recent years or where is this hate coming from?

BeAware of some Discord communities

Hello everyone! I hope you’re having great streams! A recent phenomenon, that even though it presents itself as a support and getting connected with the Twitch community, is the so-called discord communities that have a point system where you get points when you comment, like or raid. Communities like pizza party, where even though they present themselves as very engaging and helpful, they try to rig the metrics with partner pushes and by supporting mostly people that belong to the closest circle of the creators or to people who boot lick constantly with subscribes etc. In my opinion, these discord communities dilute and slightly manipulate the metrics even though they don’t openly admit it. Most likely, they will send some of their members here to write how great and how amazingly they have benefited from these discord communities (and also downvote this post) but this is a matter that I have discussed with many streamers in the gaming community and deep down there is always something fishy in those kinds of setups. Stay away and enjoy your streams!

Twitch Partner/Hyper active chat

I have seen many discords who do partner pushes claiming that even if you have 75 average viewers for the 12 total streams over the span of two months you need to have a very active chat to approve your application.

Many of these discords, have a ponzi vibe and mainly one or two people get benefits, especially the ones who are the closest to the owner of the discord community. There are good communities as well though if you dig deeper.

Then I have seen people get accepted with not so active chats but with the average viewership numbers steady 75+.

Is there really a standard or is it a case by case basis?

Is a hyper active chat necessary or they look at your overall application?

What are your experiences?

Thoughts about Twitch communities

Hello fellow streamers! Twitch is an amazing platform that you can share your passion with the world and get to know amazing people.

Lately, I have seen many discord groups where there are rankings based on points that you get on how much you chat with other members of the same community.

Even though I can understand the initiative, if you dig deeper you will find a ponzi or mlm kind of vibe where the person who controls the community or the two three people that surround this individual get benefited the most.

You can meet interesting people in these communities and connect with them but many of these communities are sketchy af. I have many examples but I respect their privacy.

What are your thoughts about these “twitch point gathering communities”?

What if dating apps had two warnings before they remove a person?

As I sense, we live in the age of hyper-sensitivity. No jokes, no edgy lines, no humor let alone dark humor. It seems that the communication style that is preferred is sterile and a vibe similar of going to your grocery store and talking to your cashier, and when the person asks you if you want more bags you say: “yes thank you or no thank you” or something like that, because you know… Hyper-sensitivity.

Then, you check the people who are controlling the decision making of these organizations and… and you realize that it makes sense…

But why act in such a manner against paying users? I mean, obviously there are people there who violate the terms and harass other people which is bad and should be completely isolated.

There are numerous instances that belong in the grey area though and should not be scrutinized that much.

People deserve a second chance, especially in a digital environment as long as they haven’t done something really bad or inappropriate.

In fact, that would add clarity because if a user has already received a warning for a specific action that triggered it and acknowledged it, then if that happens again this person cannot claim unawareness and that adds a layer of justice.

The decision makers preach that they like democracy, and I am sure they do, right? Hmm…

What do you think about creating a movement and a petition to gently request that all these apps reshape their way of approach regarding these matters and offer a two notice approach?

We live in a democracy right? …Right?
