2026 in punk music
As we are halfway through the year, what’s been your favorite release of the year so far?
What’s been your favorite show?
What are you looking forward to for the rest of the year for upcoming releases? How about upcoming shows?

Hardcore punk history lesson from Victoria, B.C.
Beginning Friday, June 26, 2026, until lifted, Mount Rainier National Park will implement a parkwide fire ban. All campfires and the ignition of wood, briquettes, or any fuel in fire pits, fire pans, and barbeque grills will be prohibited. This ban is in place to reduce the risk of human-caused wildland fire.
All campfires will be prohibited in the park. Currently only Cougar Rock Campground is open. White River Campground is expected to open soon, and all campfires will be prohibited when it opens. The Ohanapecosh Campground is closed for construction in 2026. Information on park construction projects can be found on the park’s website.
Use of portable, petroleum-filled cooking stoves, heating devices, and/or lanterns using liquefied or bottled fuel are permissible provided such devices can be turned off.
Effective Monday, June 29, campfires or the ignition of wood, briquettes, or any fuel in fire pits, fire pans, and barbeque grills, are banned in all portions of North Cascades National Park Service Complex, which includes North Cascades National Park, Ross Lake National Recreation Area, and Lake Chelan National Recreation Area. This ban includes all National Park Service lands and campgrounds along State Route 20 as well as Hozomeen and the entire Stehekin Valley. This applies to anything that produces ash, including charcoal grills. Propane fire pits are not allowed during the ban.
Gas or propane stoves, grills, or lanterns are permitted in campgrounds and wilderness areas for the use of cooking if there is no flammable material within three feet of the device. These stoves must be equipped with an on-off switch or valve capable of immediately extinguishing the flame. Extreme caution is urged with any open flame.
Excellent hardcore punk / post punk.
They know where they’re playing and where they’re not playing.
Copenhagen is getting down this weekend.
I love going to outdoor shows in the summer, indoor can get kind of sweaty where I am but at least I don’t need to tie a hoody around my waist. What shows do you have coming up?
Hi all, new moderator here. I’m opening up this community for posts about North Cascades National Park and the surrounding areas. I will be working on updating the guidelines and cleaning up the subreddit for the next few weeks. Let me know here or in the modmail if you are having issues posting or commenting.
Interesting interview with the originator of the SHARP concept.
🎵I‘ve been waiting🎵
I’ve been noticing a lot more ticket scams here and on other music subreddits lately. Here’s the deal: if someone is selling tickets to a show through a Reddit post there is no mechanism to ensure that the tickets are real. Once you transfer them your money they might ghost you or send you a bogus image of a ticket. Be cautious, or just buy the tickets from the venue itself.
