They want to move my son from 5th (end of) to 9th grade next year...

My son has consistently scored in the 99th percentile in all areas since he first started school 6 years ago. We were approached by the school asking for permission to test. My son is a typical 11 year old boy. Goofy, annoying (lol), but he has always been ahead of the rest of his peers. The school psychologist gave him an IQ test among other tests. He has an overall 151 score.

While I do agree he is very smart, I feel like moving him ahead so much will be very detrimental socially and emotionally. I have asked him what he wants to do and he just says he doesn't know. I need to let the school know soon. If my gut says no I should just say no, correct? I am so afraid I am going to make him miss out on something huge in his life if I don't agree to advance him. However, I would hate to take him away from his friends..

Edit: Thank you all. This was exactly the feedback I was looking for. I will be telling them no and asking for different options to challenge him academically.

Question for those who have OCD as well as ADHD

I have been raw dogging my ADHD for over 10 years now. Was on Vyvanse when it was first being prescribed back in the early 2000s. On it for a few years and stopped once I graduated high school. I recently (4 years ago) got a high demand job as a special education teacher. The ADHD is getting to me horribly. As a special education teacher I have to do a lot of paperwork. My strategies have been working up until about a year ago when I realized I was drowning. My executive function has gone to shit. I also believe it is enhancing my OCD. I am late to work often because of mis remembering if I have done my routines. I will feel like I left the straightener on, the oven, anything. It makes me turn around and I have to check it at least 3 times. My OCD hasn't been this bad in years. They tried to give me medication for my OCD when I was in my early twenties. It caused insane auditory hallucinations and I have been afraid to try any other meds since. All that being said ..I feel like if I treat my ADHD some of my OCD symptoms will subside or at least calm down. I want to ask what medication works for you without making the thoughts more intense. I can't keep living with this anxiety every day.

My 11 year old has been working on a Roblox game for the past few weeks. Teaching himself to script. He made a really cool looking game. He had me mess around in it some when he was still working on it. Well he went to publish it tonight and he says he has lost so much progress because it published in R15 when he made R6. (I DONT KNOW WHAT ANY OF THIS MEANS he tried to explain it to me but it just seems really complicated lol)

Anyways..is there any way to fix this? He says that the way it is publishing is breaking the animations and stuff that he created in the game and it is unplayable.
